Fujifilm Mirrorless Camera Xt3

This XT3 is truly a great camera, whether we are talking about the Mirrorless, Crop-Sensor or Full Frame spectrum. I’ve been working strictly with DSLR’s but I am so glad I made the change and wonder why I didn’t do this sooner. Aside from the awesome specs (yes, I know it doesn’t have IBIS) this camera is truly an experience. My style of shooting has been rethought and redone because of the layout of this camera and the customizable fn control buttons. I find myself picking up this camera everyday to shoot...anything. You cannot go wrong with the Fuji X line! Top quality and top results. And don’t get me started on my new 56mm f/1.2 prime! I was originally going to purchase the XT4 but because of the current stock situation I decided to buy this instead. And it didn’t disappoint. As always, B&H are the best of the best...prices, customer service and shipping. B&H is always worth my time.

I've been shooting on a 5DMIII for years, and was hoping the XT3 would be the mirrorless camera system that replaced my heavy DSLR. It was a blast to shoot on, I loved the way it felt and operated in hand, and was pretty impressed with the image as well. Ultimately, however, I ended up returning it and will instead get the 5D MIV, just because the Canon ecosystem has much to offer for editorial work and is better suited for fast-paced, professional work. However, if I was looking for a camera for general shooting, street photography, or travel, the Fujifilm XT3 would be my first pick, and in fact I plan to purchase one again in the future for personal use. In summary: The Fujifilm XT3 is such an awesome and fun camera to shoot on, and produces beautiful images, however I don't think it can replace a tried-and-true DSLR like the Canon 5D for everyday professional work.

This camera is my first entry into the mirrorless world. After decades of SLRs (Pentax) and DSLRs (Nikon) I fell in love with the look of the XT3 and decided to buy this camera in a recent trip to US. I didnt have the time to go through the manual, so I put it through its paces with the default settings. My first photos were completely different from what I´m used to: a very dark environment and I had to crank up the ISO setting to 3200. Everything was new to me, and the pictures came out amazing. For many years I shoot only in RAW, and this time I tried the different film simulations available; I loved this feature. It´s important to say that the kit lens is very good. Even in dim light the autofocus worked fast and was very precise. And finally, my main concern moving from an OVF DSLR to a mirrorless camera was que quality of the EVF, but the XT3´s is very good in low light and superb in normal conditions. Now it´s time to think about the next lens, and I´m considering either the 50mm f2 or the 90mm f2.

I have been a long time slr/dslr user before getting into mirrorless over the last few years. I tried Olympus, Sony, and Canon mirrorless as well, but Fuji seems to fit me best due to the user experience. I also own an XT3 and X100F, but this is the first camera I have purchased new in a while. I usually purchase used, simply b/c everyone seems to try to "upgrade" every other year, while I tend to stick with what I like. I bought new, because the few models out there used were not much cheaper than new. coming from OVFs, I love the option to go either way; and Fuji is the only one to offer this. I love the simplistic layout, and never really used to "chimp" anyway, so this hasn't changed. Auto focus with Fuji primes appears to be just as good as on the XT3, which is more than good enough for me. Colors are wonderful, everyone considering Fuji knows about the jpeg options, Dual card slots is a big plus. At the time I purchased, only Dura black was available, so I went with it. It's a personal choice whether you want to pay the extra $200; personally, I doubt the different paint is worth it, but I already love the Dura coating, and actually like the fact that fingerprints darken this thing up quick. The rumors on that are true, and if that bothers you, just go with the standard black or you'll be reaching for the microfiber at every use. I think this is pricey for an aps-c sensor, but it's really the features of the camera, namely the ovf/evf option (has to factor into the cost), that made me pull the trigger. As long as it holds up to use, I feel it's worth it.

The XT3 is a mature refined mirrorless camera. Everything just works when it should. I love that most of the buttons and dials have multiple functions by either turning or hard pressing them. The Fuji system is endlessly customizable. Wherever your creativity takes you the xt3 will follow. I also have the XH1 and can tell you the sensor on the XT3 is better in every way. The auto focus is blazing fast and the eye AF is amazing. AFC tracking is a dream and sticks to the subject like glue. The overall performance is excellent with absolutely no lag at any time during the operation of the camera. Build quality is top notch and after the XH1 the XT3 is the best built Fuji mirrorless camera.

Fujifilm is taking mirrorless cameras to new levels. Other camera manufacturers will be catching up for years.

Fujifilm XT5 has much greater battery life than the XT3. Very similar to the XT3 in function but high resolution and much bigger files.

I got this bag just before a trip to Europe. I'm writing this from Frankfurt. It's what I was looking for. Not too big and not too small. Appears to be a messenger bag and doesn't look like "steal me." Right now inside it I've got a Fujifilm XT3 with 16-80 zoom, 18mm 1.4 plus a Fujifilm XE4 in the padded lens holder. Today it rained and then cleared up. I was able to crush my Gore-Tex shell in the bottom and keep the XT3 on top with room for sunglasses. The bag still looked slim. It's also got a nice slot against your body for IPad, documents or maps, etc. Works great so far. Only improvement I could suggest is to have the strap able to disconnect at one end such as on Pacsafe travel bags. This would make it so you could run the strap around a table leg or through a chair arm when at an outdoor restaurant. That way if a thief tries a grab and go they get a big surprise when they take the table or you with them.

Perfect flash for my Fujifilm XT3 and Godox R2T controller. Never misses a flash or misfires. High-speed syncs and syncs up to the controller every time without issue. Check out my video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUopcMLhTRI
