Fujifilm X T30 Mirrorless Camera

2024-08-02 07:34:57

As an analog film enthusiast and nursing student, the FUJIFILM X-T30 II is an affordable yet premium entry to Fuji's mirrorless line. The intuitive UI made it easy to dive into Fuji’s famed film simulations, and the bundled XC 15-45mm lens is a versatile start for wide-angle and zoom shots. Compact and budget-friendly, it's a solid choice to kickstart my mirrorless adventure!

I upgraded from a Fujifilm X-T100 to this X-T30. This camera is absolutely amazing if you shoot in manual or in automatic. I personally use manual. The controls are easy to use and placed in such a way that allows the photographer to easily adapt to shots on the fly. This camera should satisfy any pro, or beginning photographer who is looking for quality and ease of control. If you travel and need to pack-a lightweight camera this fits the bill. I will not be looking for a upgrade for a very longtime.

I bought this case for use with my Fujifilm X-T30. The 10 is supposedly designed for the smaller body mirrorless camera, but the lenses I use with the X-T30 (Fujifilm Fujinon XF 16-55mm F2.8 LM WR and XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR and Meike MK-85mm f/2.8 Macro) looked like they would exceed the capacity of the holder, even with the extension opened. I intend to use this case while hiking and don’t want to have to always be reversing the lens hood and did not like the fact that with the extension opened there is now less protection for the lens (the extension has some padding, but it is not as robust as the closed case), so I opted for the 20. The 20 works perfect for my set up, as it fits my camera with any of my current lenses attached, with their lens hood front facing, and without the need for the extension being opened; my setup has a maximum length of 7-5/8 inches (194 mm). The 20 is designed for a bigger body camera, but is not overly big for the X-T30 and makes it easy to get the camera in and out. My only complaint would be the shoulder strap, as the shoulder pad is straight; one that was slightly curved (to conform to the neck) and with a little more padding would have made the case perfect, but I don’t really plan to use the case for any great length of time slung over my head and across my shoulder, as I mostly plan to use it hiking and will have the case attached to my chest, so not a big issue.

I have Canon, Nikon, Pentax and I had an Olympus camera. Fujifilm was not in my collection. After reading many reviews, watching too many YouTube videos on the Fujifilm cameras, I decided to purchase the X-T30. I am so glad that I did. I love the camera. I'm still getting acquainted with all the buttons and the menu but I have take a few pictures and was amazed at the image quality. Of course, the lens is a major factor. I have the 18-55mm kit lens. It is one of the best kit lens I've used. If you are considering a fujifilm camera, I highly recommend the X-T30. The price is right. The specs are great. And you will be pleased with the photo results.

Wonderful walk around lens for my Fujifilm X-E3 and X-T30 cameras. It allows me to fit either camera along with my laptop in my work backpack so I can take it with me and practice street photography on my way to the office.

I use it to carry my camera (Fujifilm X-T30 with XC15-45mm lens) and I have more space for personal items

At first, I was a little hesitant to get a third-party lens for my Fujifilm X-T30 camera. I wanted a macro lens, but unfortunately Fuji only had two choices, neither of which appealed to me. I also considered a macro lens by Zeiss, but it was a little expensive and a little too short focal length. So, I decided to try the Laowa 2x macro. I never bought a Laowa lens before and didn't know what to expect. I read several reviews about this lens, and they were all very positive. I'm happy to say I am quite pleased with this lens. It is small, light and very sharp. It is easy to focus (manual focus only), but for macro photography, I rarely use auto focusing. A great product!

I preordered the X-T5 from B&H the moment it became available, and I received it within a week of its release. It replaced my X-T30, a good camera. But the X-T5 is the next level, or two, or three above.... It's exactly what I want in a (primarily) stills camera. I have tested the camera with my 35 f1.4, 16 f2.8, and Viltrox 56 1.4. There's a definite increase in sharpness and resolution with the new 40mp sensor over the X-T30. Also, so many jpegs are excellent right out of the camera, a surprise over the X-T30. The AF-S autofocus is fast and spot on. I haven't tested it in every AF-C scenario (testing is ongoing), but so far it performs fine. Overall, the X-T5 is a definite upgrade. I'm not much into video, so I'll leave that to others, but from what I have seen on the internet, it'll do the job nicely for my needs. The very limited test videos I created look fine. Testing is ongoing. Of course, I love the Fujifilm retro/analog build approach, so to my eyes, this camera is beautiful. To sum it up, I've had numerous cameras over the years. The X-T5 is the culminations of all my expectations. Fujifilm really got it right with this camera. BTY, as always, thanks to B&H. Always reliable with great customer service.

I purchased this lens for my Fujifilm x-t30 and so far I'm loving the images I'm taking with it. Def worth the price.

Fujifilm is taking mirrorless cameras to new levels. Other camera manufacturers will be catching up for years.
