I've been shooting on a 5DMIII for years, and was hoping the XT3 would be the mirrorless camera system that replaced my heavy DSLR. It was a blast to shoot on, I loved the way it felt and operated in hand, and was pretty impressed with the image as well. Ultimately, however, I ended up returning it and will instead get the 5D MIV, just because the Canon ecosystem has much to offer for editorial work and is better suited for fast-paced, professional work. However, if I was looking for a camera for general shooting, street photography, or travel, the Fujifilm XT3 would be my first pick, and in fact I plan to purchase one again in the future for personal use. In summary: The Fujifilm XT3 is such an awesome and fun camera to shoot on, and produces beautiful images, however I don't think it can replace a tried-and-true DSLR like the Canon 5D for everyday professional work. 5 |

If you're like me, you spend waaay too long trying to figure out what camera will best fit your needs. (To be fair, when anyone considers spending $7.5k, they should be taking the decision very seriously!) That being said, I can't believe I waited so long to upgrade to a professional cine camera and I feel absolutely certain that the c200 was the right choice for me and my business. Two years ago I started filming with the A7III and I quickly found some momentum offering services as a one man band for small businesses. I still enjoy using compact mirrorless/dslr bodies but when it came time to upgrade I was confident that a full size cine camera was going to be necessary. Looking back, I feel like I dodged a bullet by going with the c200. It's subjective but what the c200 offers me makes transitioning from mirrorless way less painful. Especially the autofocus! As of late, I started to connect with local producers and dp's. They usually me to shoot the c200 on a gimbal. I can't say for sure but it does seem like the c200 helped me find my footing in the industry. The guys I work with also shoot with canon cine cameras and even though we have the option to shoot with red (Scarlett w, Scarlett x, raven) Sony (fs7, A7sii, A7III) and Panasonic (gh5, varicam lt), we still almost exclusively use the c100ii, c200, c300 and c300ii. At the time of making the decision to buy a c200, I would've had no way of knowing this but man am I ever thankful! I can only imagine the frustration I would have faced if I went with a different, less popular body. Don't get me wrong. I still went through a difficult learning curve but getting to work with people using the same gear made life much easier. But my experience is my own! The area you live in might be totally different. Do yourself a favour and connect with local pros in your area. Find out if there is an industry standard and give it a try! ALWAYS try before you buy. Only you can decide what you like! Cheers Brody 5 |

I own the Sony A7III and was looking to upgrading a new camera, however the A7SIII is way to expensive and the other camera that Sony announced was expensive as well. Blackmagic 6k Pro was a decent price that had a lot of life quality options that I enjoy, compared to Sony's UI. Though I have invested sony lenses, this will be my main camera for short film projects while I use sony as my photography and commercial based work. 5 |

I shoot both Sony and Fuji. This is a fantastic camera with a familiar form factor for film photographers. This camera allows you to shoot from the waste with a view of 100% of the tilt down screen. The XT3 was partially covered by the viewfinder when looking straight down. The Dura Black finish changes a bit with the addition of finger prints but It changes in a great way! Once the dura black gets an even coating of fingerprints it takes on a great vintage look. I even used q-tips to get the finish even around the buttons. Don't be fooled by the review where people complained about the finish showing finger prints. The camera looks great in person. The image quality is also really great. It am getting better results with the X-Pro3 than the XT3 or X100F. 5 |

I’m just starting out in photography, and wanted something more than just a point and click. I did a ton of research before deciding to purchase this camera. My choices came down to the XT3/30, or the Sony A6100. I decided to go with Fuji over Sony even though it was more expensive for three reasons. The aesthetics of the camera, the lens system, and the picture profiles. I think this camera looks sooo much better than the Sony Alpha line. When comparing lense systems, it seemed like the Sony lenses were more expensive, and bulkier than the Fuji’s. I liked that the XT30 came with the Fuji’s highly regarded picture profiles. With Sony, I’d have to upgrade to their 6400 model to get their picture profile which, according to the reviews, were a step down from Fuji. Lastly, I chose the XT30 over the XT3 due to the $600 price difference, and the slightly smaller form factor. Now for the cons. The XT30 doesn’t have a flippy screen, limits their recording time, and needs an adapter to add an external microphone. I don’t plan on using this camera to Vlog so these cons are meaningless to me. Even if I were to suddenly become a Vlogger, how hard it is to point a camera toward your face, and realize if your in frame or not? Also, I can’t envision a scenario where I would need to record something longer than 10 minutes. At first, this camera was a little overwhelming to use. However, with each passing day, I becoming more familiar with the controls and functions of this camera. it’s becoming easier, and more importantly, fun to use! I’m very happy I purchased this camera. It won’t be long before I’m producing quality photos that I can hang on my wall! 5 |
