I use this with my 50D for astrophotography. The interval and timer functions allow for hands free operation of the camera for multiple long exposure shots of star fields using my motorized equatorial mount. It reduced the likelihood of introduced vibration and means I can keep my hands in my pockets while standing on top of a very cold mountain. That standard remote function is also incredibly useful for taking macro shots and limiting camera vibrations on a tripod. 5 |
