Used first time for a fashion show in NYC. The movie one button convenience is great. To take fast action still pictures put the camera in P mode and adjust the ISO rating. It will take great indoor action photos fast in fairly low light (no flash) in this mode. Most important is to READ the MANUAL that comes with the camera (it is in CD form and I printed it out and put it in a binder for future reference). Also read the parts about computer downloads. The view grid is great for composition and the wide angle/optical telephoto is superb for ever shot imaginable. I can use one lens for everything. Best with a 16 GB memory. Huge LCD screen. I almost never need the flash, so I keep it down. Best way to hold camera is thumb and index fingers of left hand at either end, in the grooves, if using the flash, then click with right hand. Experiment with P and other modes, as well as auto mode. This is an advanced amateur, semi-pro-professional camera that beats SLR cameras in size and meets their performance in lens and pixel density, and it weighs next to nothing, fits in the shirt pocket, and does video as well as still. Great buy.

This is the perfect add on to you Sim racing rig! The only con I have for this is the shifting action is very floppy but that can easily be fixed by several aftermarket mods. Shifts feel crisp due to the hard stop of the metal top plate in h pattern mode. In sequential mode there are definitely better options out there but if you want an h pattern this is definitely a winner!

I use my cameras for landscape photography as well as for pet portraits and action shots, and for action shots at places like Medieval Faires. At this price point I do not see how you can go wrong with the Pentax K-x. Shutter lag is almost non existent. Focusing is fast except for in low light (almost dark) conditions. It can take maintain focus and take multiple shots in burst mode with ease. The multituide of settings which range from full automatic to full manual give you as much or as little control over the camera as you so choose. Do NOT let the use of AA lithium or rechargebale batteries frighten you. As long as you make sure you are running the latest firmware battery life will not be an issue. I run my equipment hard with extended on time (During 4 hours at a Medieval Faire the camera will be on for more than two hours of actual time) waiting for that right moment and I am still on the first set of batteries after more than a week and perhaps 200 actual images taken. The kit lense is fairly good. Do expect to pick up a Class 6 to Class 10 memory card to take full advantage of this camera's lightning speed in burst mode. You will not regret the few extra dollars spent. High ISO performance is as good as others have stated. Surprisingly good in fact. Negatives? I wish the informational display in the viewfinder was a little larger and a little brighter. The K-x can have difficulty focusing in near dark conditions on the normal settings (Night scene mode not engaged)and in low contrast conditions, but that is true of many cameras. Some reviewers state that the image stabilization is not all that great. I have found it to be more than adequate for my needs. This is a great not so entry level DSLR camera at a very reasonable price point.

I try it attached to my windshield with a osmo action (time lapse mode) in a 8 hours trip, it work perfect. The only annoying is when taken the osmo out of its mounting frame to change the battery the arm isn't strong enough and moves a little bit, it was kind of tricky try to get the same scene.

I work with a lot of movement in studio and work on action mode on my Einsteins 90% of the time. Pocket Wizard has always been a great reliable product for catching every frame. I love the simplicity of this receiver and its pairing transceiver.

Purchase for pan and tilt as my hands are not that steady. Good smooth action although I could wish for a slower mode. Wireless wi-fi control would really make this great.
