Works as expected, had some trouble with a multi outlet but it had a surge protector. Also very heavy if traveling.

This Surge Protector is the perfect size for behind my TV. I love that it has an outlet on top and botton for my bigger plugs and also the end outlet can accommodate a bigger longer plug as well. The last surge protector I had did not have them and my bigger plugs would cover up multiple oulets. I love that it has a small green power light and a small red grounded light so that you know it is working. If you need a 7 outlet surge protector look no further.

I bought the Furman PST-8 surge protector based on the recommendation of Wirecutter, a New York Time supported website with reviews that I find helpful. This specific Furman surge protector was cited as an upgrade option for those who wanted strong protection. i.e., for those looking for a best buy. Of course, I will not know if it is worth the extra money until the house is subject to a surge that knocks out the other high quality surge protectors and not the Furman PST-8!

Purchased the Furman PST-6 as a reasonably priced power conditioner, and surge protector, and was floored by the sonic improvement it created in my all digital system. this is a tremendous price/value product and highly recommend it for any system. Great for a portable record rig with rails on front and back. I have one Furman M-8Lx Surge Protector, one Rolls RPB486 Phantom Power Supply, two dbx 266xs stereo compressors, one Presonus Studio 1824c, one AKG HP6E 6-Channel Headphone Amplifier and one 4 RU box for mics, headphones, tabletop stands and cables. My only concern is the longevity of the pull handle.

I am happy with this surge protector and recommend it. The spaced out seventh outlet is particularly useful for power bricks.
