I use this when a full size tripod is perceived as being intrusive. If you have ever video taped people in public and have used a full size tripod then you have seen looks of shock and disapproval. Spontaneity never returns. The low profile and almost full sized performance have greatly improved my recording sessions. Because of its small size I am afraid of leaving it behind while I am outdoors in a park setting.

This is a large mic bag. You can fit some smaller size shock mounts and a microphone in this bag. The construction similar to a Shure SM58 bag.

The product is awesome, but B&H doesn't tell you the shock mount female connector size, I bought with an agent a shotgun arm (K-Tek KE-144CC Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole) and the screw was wider then shock mount connector, make sure you buy an adopter that fits before purchasing your order.

I got this a while back after my toddler literally chewed my last case to pieces. Good size, seems very shock proof (from being thrown by said toddler) and I really like the glitter effect.

Purchased from B&H when it was on sale. I was warned about it's size from previous reviews, but it is a shock to unfold this sucker in your living room the first time. It collapses very easily if you follow the directions that come with it. I'm 6'4 and have to cheat, resting it on my shoes and pushing/twisting downwards. Practice before doing it in front of a client or a snickering significant other. The zipper pouch is OK, but I'm going to use a drumset cymbal bag for regular use.
