G502 Hero Weight

Been using it for over a week. It has been great for FPS gaming: just the right amount of friction and my mouse (Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED) slides beautifully. The size should be enough when you set your mouse to low DPS and need to turn wide angles.

I became interested in this when making plans to upgrade my PC gaming setup. Older logitech mice constantly needed batteries swapped at inopportune moments. I am a casual gamer, so mouse maintenance was a significant hassle. I have paired the powerplay with a G502 and they are a pair. The mouse has yet to get low on me, either during productivity or play. The mousepad comes with two surfaces and I am using the cloth/fabric one instead of plastic. Time will tell if the fabric holds up, but build quality appears appropriate. The base/hub at the top of the mouse pad is fairly unobtrusive. You will have to make geometric arrangement for the cable that powers the mousepad on your desk space, as it can only be plugged in from the top. So far I have not found any disadvantage to this setup other than cost. The G502 wireless logitech mouse is superb also.

Battery life isn't so good on Hero 5 Black so I got this to help. Adds some size/weight but worth it. Don't want the battery dying and causing to miss the shot

I like it so much that I purchased a second one. Now I have one for my Hero 8 and my 5.

If you own a Hero 4 you should always have extra batteries and these are the ones.

GoPro keeps pushing the limits of their hero camera. The Hero 10 is by far the best action camera on the market. I shot with three of them on a recent shoot at ancillary video cameras to capture footage from vantage points that my larger camera could not get. The image stabilizer and the picture quality is amazing and mix perfectly with footage from my 6K pro camera.

The design is much better than Hero 8 black. The Go Pro company give hero 8 black with new battery door. Bad design..... you have to open the battery latch to be able to connect the Hero 8 with external power, which will exposed the battery and micro SD card. It's just stupid design, so stay with Hero 7.

This adapter works perfect with my Hero 7, but not at all on the Hero 9. The hero 9 doesn't have the menu option to enable the external mic connection. It seems like the firmware needs an update to enable it. Same problem wit TRS and TRRS sources. It just doesn't work on the Hero 9 as of Sep 20, 2020. I am on the phone with support as I type this, and they made me reset the camera and do a manual update. Nothing works. They claim the support ticket will be escalated internally at their support team.
