When I drive a rental car and need to rely on my Google maps based navigation system, having my phone in a good position is essential. This system mounts on the windshield so it does not leave markings behind. The arm is very flexible to the phone can be positioned just right. Everything about this product is just right.  Through many trips, it never came off the windshield and the phone was always kept securely in place.

I’m a diehard iOS and google maps user. But I wanted this for the motorcycle. I absolutely love it and so glad I went this route.

Solid build, great software, and I love making groovy routes on Google Maps and feeding them to my Zumo XT...

Bought unit to help with multiple motorcycle trips. google maps would sometimes take me to gravel roads and sometimes I lost coverage and then maps. the XT allows me to avoid gravel and it is so much easier to view than the phone was. So Far, great. Will be taking a trip this week where there is no cell coverage. I find more out then. Take the time to learn base camp, that is the key.

I hadn't owned a portable navigation system in at least 10 years but I'm so glad I got one again. Bought it on a road trip where I was getting bad cell reception. Totally saved me!! Most people don't realize that your Google Maps and Waze apps on your smartphone don't connect with a satellite, they connect with a cell tower. So if you're phone reception is weak or non-existent you're going to be without navigation. Not only that but even when you do have reception the location beacon for Google Maps is often WAY off. Dangerously so. With the Garmin you never have to worry about any of that. It's accurate and precise. Great for rural areas! And great for people who travel off the interstates on a road trip! With the turn by turn navigation the voice tells you much more helpful instructions than you get in Google Maps or Waze! For example. At the 2nd traffic light, turn left, and then continue straight. Or In 500ft turn left at the Capital One. The traffic system works great and updates instantly in real time. Love the way it shows slightly sluggish traffic even if there's no accident or construction and shows free flowing traffic. Also it's really nice that there are no extra car attachments needed like with Sirius-XM for example. It's just the cigarette lighter power charger, the touchscreen device, and that's it. WELL worth $140.

Works good with Google "my maps" to import into Basecamp as a track and convert to a route. . Warning, the XP2 when connected to Basecamp, gives a warning that it might not be combatable with Basecamp. It does still work. If Garmin drops Basecamp, I will sell all my Garmin GPS's. My primary use is to draw a route on "my maps" and import it into Basecamp so I can load into the GPS.

It's a Garmin. Not much more needs to be said. The Explorer app works great for transferring Google Maps routes to the unit. I created a really complex twisty route and it followed it seamlessly.

With this lifeline I can watch my monitor whereever I want and keep the distance.
