Gaming Computer For 1500 Cad

I wanted a computer that's fast for CAD work, so I bought a gaming computer. I wish that the WASD keys had the same lighting as the rest of the keys. I really wish the NumLock key had an indicator light. But overall, I'm very happy. It's so much faster than my old ASUS laptop.

This computer has hardware that is typically more than the average person would use, great for cad projects, gaming, or just a computer that has capabilities to do whatever you'd want it to do for today and the future. Considering the cost and value there's no other computer I'd go with.

I needed a new monitor for mixed usage (writing code, CAD, some graphics and some gaming) capable of working with both HDMI and DisplayPort. This one fit the bill in theory. In practice, it’s an amazing monitor. Easy to set up, VESA100 capable, minimal footprint, very nice and precise image quality for CAD, my eyes don’t get tired after hours of coding, and has an excellent refresh rate for fast pace gaming. Bought this to help me do my 3D CAD design and gaming and it works like a charm. I am coming from a 3700x 8 core cpu and this new 5600x is much much faster in games. More stable FPS and 3D CAD is butter smooth. Just remember to update your bios if you are using 550 or 570 chipset. 10/10 recommend!

I use my mouse for regular computer use and CAD drawing. So far have had no issues. I really like the light click, you just have to put a little pressure on the button instead of having to push like you want to break it. I also really like and use the programmable buttons. When you use it on a extended desktop with a PC it moves smoothly and evenly unlike some other mice.

I really love my new HP EliteBook! I was in a haunt for a computer that was good for Architecture Software like Cad and Revit. I am glad it works for my educational needs. I really recommend it !

I am a CAD draftsman and sit in front of a computer 8-12 hrs at a time. Although I have just begun to use this monitor I can tell the curved feature will help with eyestrain. Colors and details are quite nice. Setup was easy, quick, and problem free. HD photos look good. Apologies... I have not tried any HD videos or installed an aftermarket graphics card.

Mind you this is a product for 3D CAD work or similar, so for normal computer use you won't need it much.I like the simplicty of it. It's heavy enough to not move about, comfortable for my hand to rest on it and everything I personally need is there. I've used the more pricey SpacePilot Pro as well but never used the added functions on it and to me it wasn't worth the extra $ or so.Really no negative feedback here. I use it every day when working with Unigraphics and recommend it.
