Gaming Computer With 8 Gig Ram

I have a dell inspiron 3847, came with 8 gig of ram. I'm using it for music production, cubase and a lot of vst instruments. Well the day came to add more ram. Because this computer is a bit older, it maxes out at 16 gig. The Crucial 16GB DDR3 1600, was the only thing I could find for an upgrade. These specs are not the fastest, but the mother board would not accept DDR4. Swapping the ram was easy. On restart the computer recognized there was a hardware change, went to settings and ran a diagnostic, than restarted and works great. OS Windows 10 64bit. If your doing music production, I recommend 32GB or more if your computer will accept it.

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer.

For my needs this base model is plenty. I upped the RAM to 12 gig (took all of five minutes) and am quite pleased.

Ordered for the 27 loaded iMAC 5K 8 gig ram... Added the 32gig in about 2 minutes and saved $600 off what apple charges. Unfortunately, it did take a few extra days to get the memory but it was worth the wait.

It is amazing what maxing out the RAM on your computer will do for the performance.

This is by far the fastest machine I have ever used. SSD startup and file retrieval speeds are impressive. Processing power is unbelievable with 12 cores and 64 gig of 1333Mhz DDR3 ram. Easy access to the four HD bays and memory bays made upgrading a snap. Installation of 64 gig of ram took about 10 minutes. What will the next generation of MacPro offer?

I ordered 64 gig of this ram to replace 32 gig of another brand. The other brand was also a good brand but I couldn't use all 4 of my ram slots. One was blocked by the hoses from the cpu cooler. I replaced those 2x 16 with 2x32 of this ram and have had no problems. Enabled xmp in bios and pc booted first try. I would recommend.
