Gaming Desk Monitor Shelf

First, I'll say I love the desk. It's just what I wanted. A full service desk in a small footprint. It fits a 30 widescreen monitor on the top shelf along with my iPad, and on the next shelf I have a 13 MacBook Pro and Wacom tablet. Accessory shelves hold an external hard drive and headphones. (See photo) The desk showed up in one large, heavy box but seemed pretty well packaged and handled. Opened it up to find all the pieces needed to set up and easy to understand instructions. Overall, it took about 30 min to set up. The only glitch I ran into was that one of the bolt seats in the underside of the top shelf was off-line and wouldn't take a 4th bold as a result. It doesn't really cause a problem, but would have liked the extra bolt for stability that a desk this size can struggle with. I did not install the wheels since this desk is staying put and wheels would have compromised the steadiness of the desk. I use it as a standing desk and appreciate the ratcheting of the main support leg that will hold it in place until you tighten the hand screws. I haven't tried lowering it yet which you need to raise it all the way up before you can lower it. However, with a large monitor on the top shelf, this is not an easy task and I purchased this with the intent on keeping it raised. I use a tall stool to give my legs a break. Some lateral sway if you intentionally move it, but for normal use and typing, I don't notice any more movement than a larger desk. For the price $129 you can't find a better deal. I looked. And B&H had the best price. I will say that the desk actually doesn't ship from B&H, but direct from a second company. Good luck. PS. Mounted a VIOTEK GNV34DBE 34-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor to this VESA 75x75 , on a mobile sit stand desk, bolted through the work surface. Regained my desktop real-estate and I don't have to worry about the monitor falling off the back of the desk when I roll it about. Was looking for a simple, no need for a swinging arm, monitor stand, this works perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely the kind of monitor that brings your whole gaming experience, and even just your whole PC-using experience, to another level. First of all, I was surprised at how easy it actually was to set up the desk mount, and it's easily adjustable so you can get the perfect placement and angle on your specific desk. I also like that this monitor has both DisplayPort and HDMI connections, so that I can also use it with my laptop that only has an HDMI port. The picture quality of this monitor is incredible even without making any real adjustments, and there's no lag or anything so it's perfect for gaming. Sitting back and streaming videos is amazing with this monitor too, since the picture feels so immersive and vibrant. But everything just looks better on this monitor, including text, and the large size means plenty of room to see multiple open applications, so I can get work done more easily too. All in all, the Armada 25 is an all-around easy-to-use monitor that doesn't cut any corners, which I think makes it a great choice for just about anybody.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This monitor was an upgrade to my old 144Hz monitor that didn’t have G-Sync. This monitor is it! I noticed a huge difference when playing games like Quake Champions and Devil May Cry. I maxed out the graphics settings and still noticed a huge difference in gameplay. You’ll want to make sure you go thru the monitor’s main menu and set the response time to maximum if that’s important to you, the default is medium. The picture looks great and consistent. My only complaint is the lack of sRGB color reproduction specification, but I can get over this since I’m looking for fast response and consistency for fast-paced gaming. I was really surprised by the overall quality of the included mounting hardware. It can accommodate a desktop thickness up to 2.5”. The clamp has soft rubber on both sides, so I wasn’t worried about scratching my desk. The kit comes with everything to mount to any VESA mount as well so that was a nice touch. The mount is sturdy and fully adjustable in any way anyone could ever want it. Hyper X does a good job of making it easy to add additional monitors in the future, which I’m seriously considering at this point. The extra desk space was an unexpected and welcome upgrade as well. I would recommend this to anyone who values high refresh rates, very fast response times, and considering a multi-monitor setup for gaming.

I recently purchased this monitor as another display for a gaming laptop. The monitor is fantastic at showing colors and contrast. I run it with an AMD laptop (Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 max spec) and I have not noticed ghosting for the games that I play (most recently HZD). The display itself is great. My only complaint is the stand. It has a rather large footprint on the desk. I would recommend getting an arm to attach to the desk unless you don't need the extra space.

The monitor itself is super impressive. One can choose between the HDMI and the Display port, and choose for it to either stand on the desk or be mounted onto a wall. At first, I have opted for the former, but unfortunately, it ended up claiming almost half of my desk. It might work better with a corner one however. As for mounting it, this was quite a feat! But it worked great. Once the monitor gets to work, it is truly a sight to behold. I have tried connecting it to both my laptop and my computer. While the latter had of course better results as far as for example vivacity of colours goes, it didn’t do too shabby even when connected to a laptop (although, naturally, one can see and feel the difference between the employed graphics cards). Work 12/10: I work in translation, so I often need to have several reference documents as well as dictionaries pulled up. In this regard, this monitor is unbeatable as it manages that and more, with no fuss or problems, mainly thanks to the "Samsung Easy Setting Box" which enables custom screen splitting, so that you can have different windows in predefined areas. While this sounds good as a concept, it does not work that well in practise as it bugs a bit. Free time: Gaming - let’s be honest, this monitor is in a category of its own. The overall picture quality is incredible, as is the depth of colours. 100-120 FPS is no problem, which translates into a truly immersive gaming experience. As far as watching movies and videos goes, this is something that needs getting used to, as there are bound to be some chunky black bars. However, this small drawback hardly outweighs all the positives. To wrap up, it does excellent what it was made to do – gaming – but is nowhere near shabby when it comes to arranging your work either. The single pane really spoils you, as opposed to working across two monitors, and I am not sure I would ever be able to go back!

I needed a monitor for my desk because I was tired of using my tiny laptop screen for gaming and work. So far, it's really been an eye opener of how much of a color difference there is between my laptop display and this monitor! The monitor is so beautiful!
