[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Positives: JBL Quantum 400 is a solid gaming headset with excellent build and top notch sound quality. The build quality of JBL never disappoints. The quantum surround sound will give you the surround sound experience and is the best part of the headphones. You can customize your sound experience with the app. The microphone works perfect. The headphones worked perfect with my Xbox One. This headset gives immersive gaming experience you need. Negatives: None but if nitpicking, the sound cable can be little longer.

Got then 2 weeks ago, tried them out wired to my computer. The bass is really noticably awesome and the surround sound for gaming is phenomenal. They're much smaller and slimmer than they look in photos which is nice. Super comfortable ear cups! If your using for gaming note that it obviously doesn't have a mic. All around the best headset I've ever owned, I'm sure there are better out there but not at this price point. (Also I don't have an amp and the sound is amazing already!)

Plenty of bass, just what I needed to finish off my surround sound.

I really like this headset I did want to compare the virtual surround on these and my razer thresher ultimate headset when it came to gaming with them The Philips Fidelio X2HR sounded good but there are some sounds that can not be picked up when gaming as I have heard and seen in some youtube reviews that have said otherwise The sound is great on the Philips Fidelio X2HR for gaming But there just better for thrasher music and heavy bass They really kick I highly recommend these

Adds great bass while listening to music and is a must have when it comes to theatre surround sound!

Get It. I just like hearing good clarity and bass when I want. Great for surround sound as well.

Easy to set up. Have bass boost up in settings and nice overall sound compared to tv ... much louder and they don't break up when maxed out.

The sound is very neutral. Tight bass with no extra boost. Comfort on the ears and head: Doesn't feel like your head is stuck in a vice. Construction of the headphones seems to be excellent. Folds up into a small space.

This headphone are a giant step up from my Sony MDR-7506's in terms of sound. I used the Sony's mainly for tracking/editing voice over and I will probably still use them for that. The Shure's are tonally quite different. The Sony's emphasize mids to an unnatural degree but make them great for finding and revealing mistakes in audio. I am not sure I would use the Shure's for reference as they do have a boost in the upper bass area away from the Harmon Target. Otherwise they are spot on and sound great with most music. There have been a few occasions where this bass boost can muddy up some songs but this is fairly rare with what I listen to. At first they clamped my head pretty tight but with some use they are becoming very comfortable. For a closed back design I think these are one of the best options for price/sound quality. Satisfied!
