This is my first trackball and a lot of research went into choosing this one. I wanted a high quality device and to be able to do general pointing tasks for work as well as gaming. I looked at all the usual peripheral makers and was pretty unimpressed with the options with regard to quality, durability, serviceability, ergonomics, etc. I visited various forums to see what trackballs folks were using, how, and what the experience was for gaming. I happened upon one random comment from 11 years ago, I rock a CST myself. I'd not seen CST mentioned elsewhere...turns out it's the predecessor to the L-Trac. I found my way to X-keys and looked over the specs and it met all my requirements. The L-Trac ball is enormous and I love that about it. It feels sturdy and it is. The enclosure, rollers, ball, and cable are all very well made. While ergonomics are very individual, for me this device has been comfortable to use and I became proficient with it very quickly. Check the more in-depth reviews and videos out there to get a sense of whether it'll work for you. 5 |

This product -- especially when combined with a split ergonomic keyboard -- helps to reduce stress on your wrists. Clutching the mouse puts a lot of stress on the muscles in your forearm. But you roll this big trackball with your open hand. Instead of clutching the mouse button, you can simply tap one of the big programmable buttons with your thumb, and the mouse locks and drags until you tap the button again, when it releases. The scroll wheel is terrific. It seems like an afterthought but I use it all the time. I like this product so much, I bought one for my business partner for Christmas. Just like the split keyboard, people who sit down at my computer and use the trackball for the first time hate it. But if they use it for more than one full day, they end up loving it. 5 |

It's not easy to get a hold of one of these in Europe at the moment. I bought one from B&H and waited in anticipation. I was not disappointed. The plastics feel sturdy, the buttons clicky and satisfying. The trackball itself is massive and huge, which makes cursor motions effortless and very smooth. While I love the scroll wheel haptics, I am not convinced of its positioning. It takes a bit of getting used to, but that is ok considering the ergonomic advantage the trackball offers overall. I am a webdeveloper and mostly work on code, so I can switch between my keyboard and pointing device depending on if I am debugging in the browser or writing code. I used to get terrible pain in my shoulder and arm after long hours of work and switching to a trackball and split ergo keyboard has all but eliminated that. If you deal with similar problems, invest the money. It is absolutely worth it and you can easily extend the functionality of the l-trac with diy buttons as it has two input jacks on the back that allow for the attachment of custom buttons. You could use a foot pedal for example to replace the functionality of the mousebuttons easily, to name only one application of the top of my head, which I imagine could be great for disabled people. I might have to acquire a second one so I don't have to carry this one around from homeoffice to my workplace. 5 |

This hub is just the thing for connecting up your laptop to your wired USB-A keyboard and mouse/trackball, external monitor, and ethernet, if you're old-fashioned enough to use actual wires. It's small and lightweight -- very convenient for packing along with a laptop when shuttling between locations where you've stashed full-size peripherals. 5 |

My main desktop machine is old enough not to have had bluetooth available. This device allows me to use my Logitech keyboard and trackball, and stream music all at the same time. 5 |

That trackball is great! Fully customizable so I can put my keyboard shortcuts right on the trackball. Plus its great when working with 2 screens cause you can go from one end of the screen to the other with just a flick of the fingers, no wrist movement. That makes it real easy on the tendons. I'd recomend it the anyone working long hour on the computer. I learned a little trick to get even more spin out of the ball: rub a little pledge on it. 5 |

This is a great trackball. I use it between the two halves of a Kinesis Freestyle Pro split keyboard to reduce horizontal arm movement. The front has legs which can be raised to create a flat profile (but not that it sits fairly high in this orientation). Also note that there is no horizontal scroll capability on the scroll wheel if that's important to you. For me, these aren't issues and the huge trackball and click buttons make it very easy to use. 5 |
