Gaming Monitor With Dolby Vision

Without a doubt this is the best oled tv for the price. It's almost twice as bright as the C series which I had (c1). Some say the s90 series is better, but don't be fooled. They don't support Dolby vision. G3 does, and every other format. I bought it for Gaming mostly on my ps5 and series x Xbox and let me tell you, it's the best gaming TV bar none. Supports Dolby vision, All, VRR, has geforce now, steam, and more gaming features than I can list. Once you play a game or watch something on this TV, you will never go back to lcd. Highly recommend it!

Added Dolby vision is a big plus & atmos ...additional channels which the smart TV does not have

This is a great UHD (4K) Blu-ray player. It costs more than some others but it doesn't compromise. One particularly notable feature is that this model has Dolby Vision. You can find a cheaper player with Dolby Vision but it does not detect and enable Dolby Vision automatically; you have to turn it on and off. Spend a little extra and get the UHD/Dolby Vision Blu-ray player that does it right.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this TV. I don't like that I can't enjoy Dolby vision & I wish the refresh rate was better. I'm planning on upgrading to a samsung OLED very soon.

I’ve only had this for a month but from watching cheers reruns through my Apple TV on the Sony XR a 90 the picture is amazing. I was so impressed that when I turned on my 4K Apple TV, the TV actually checked my HDMI cables with Apple TV and said I was able to receive Dolby Vision as well More than what I thought I would get. I thought I’d only get Atmos and 4K now I’m even getting Dolby Vision through my Pioneer elite receivers as well. Definitely recommend this to anybody who doesn’t need just for gaming but is really interested in a quality studio picture.

I bought this unit because it supports Dolby Vision as well as HDR10 at a reasonable price. Excellent 4k picture quality for the price, once I setup the LG OLED TV properly. The only complaint I have is that the box's buttons are impossible to see in an average lit room... best to just use the remote to control the deck.

pros i have paired my tv with samsung q800a soundbar and it works perfectly well. one thing to note here is that this tv does not support q-symphony you cant really get the tv+soundbar through earc however tv+soundbar works for me on wifi mode. having said that you would not be able to enjoy dolby atmos, dolby digital plus audio formats using wifi. cons the frame does not support dolby vision or dts:x which is a big drawback. even samsung q series soundbars support dolby vision passthrough and dts:x audio.

The new Ultra replaces an older Ultra which did not have 4K or Dolby vision and responded slower causing the TV screen saver to kick in. Had to wait 5 to 10 seconds for the HDMI handshake to take. The new Ultra jumps right in to the apps and the resolution is also improved. Movies or streams with Dolby Vision is clearly evident with this new box.

I am very pleased with this unit. Had two more expensive Panasonic units, both that refused to eject media after a few month's normal operation. This unit is also heavier than the Panasonics; it appears to be structurally stronger and better designed. Operation... So far, the few times a disc has stalled turned out to be smudges and finger prints on the media; after a quick cleaning, the unit has played on without a problem. The only improvement I would like to see involves playing Dolby Vision HDRs; you have to go into the Screen Settings menus to enable the separate Dolby Vision option before playing a Dolby Vision disc and then go back and turn the setting off for playing other media. Surely, any widely used video format should be automatically sensed after hitting the Play button. Overall, I think the UBP-X800M2 4K UHD Blu-ray Player is great; it is better than the two more expensive units that had disc drive problems. My last comment and recommendation is to compare brand warranties before you buy any expensive electronics. Some warranties cover parts for one year and labor for only six months!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing out the box, HDR and Dolby Vision work perfectly with impactful 1000 nit highlights and high contrast self emissive pixels – no blooming like with LCD TVs. Screen is clean, visible from all angles, no dirty screen effect or darkening in corners like with LCD TVs. Simple day and night accurate TV moved for SDR, and Dolby Vision – with almost no tweaking needed aside from turning off eco mode. Integration with my Denon AVR, Apple TV, and Nintendo switch devices work well with no software bugs (I do not use the built in webOS and smart TV apps, and I do not use the built in speakers). Perfect size for 9-11ft viewing distance - I have it on a Sanus elite wall mount and can pull it forward 2ft for immersive cinema content or leave against wall for TV content or games. Well built high quality metal frame. LG optimizing OLED over 10 years all comes together in the 77" G4.
