I have used Garmin products for years I have several gps units so I decided to try their dash cam. I couldn’t be happier, it’s easy to install simple to operate and it interfaces with my iPhone seamlessly. I was most impressed with the quality of the video. At this price and given the crazy world we live in there should be a dash cam in every vehicle

This one was installed in a Garmin Dash-Cam. Half a Terabyte in a tine package. Works as advertised - no issues at all. I would recommend this for use anywhere a large capacity microSD memory card is used.

I set this up as a rear camera, the included cable was log enough for my Toyota Avalon and connecting to the Garmin Drive app went as expected. I can control both cameras from the App Front camera. Garmin Dash Cam 47 Rear camera Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a new truck and one of the first things on my list was a dash camera. I have a 4k camera, but regardless of what camera is used, nothing works properly without a high-quality micro USB card to ensure every frame rate gets captured. And here comes Samsung. The Samsung EVO Select fills this requirement by providing quality memory with a rapid write speed that is dependable from a manufacturer who sets the standard. After doing an extensive review, I have found the card provides exceptional video quality, and the 130mbs transfer speed will ensure no frame gets lost that could cause potential issues if that data is needed. The card has specs that allow 4K Video (3840*2160) @ 30fps which in turn provides ~30 hours of video with the 4K quality, before needing to do a write-over, replacing the existing data. The benefit of having 10,000 swipes (rewrite actions) provides comfort that this card will last as long as you need for capturing video in your dash cam. And finally, the second biggest concern with using a dash cam is the heat from the sun. Since your card will be exposed to heat at all hours of the day, we can be sure it will handle the extreme heat as it is designed to be safely used up to 185F. At this temperature, the glue on the cam will give away before you have to worry about the card.

Dash cams have been needed more than once to aid my insurance company prove fault of the other driver. The Garmin Mini 2 best feature is being able to show Police the video of the accident from my Smart Phone. After an accident I am a little rattled and being able show video with ease is necessary. My only complaint is the Drive App can only be used with Google Play Services turned on. I wish Garmin would make the App not dependent me having a Google account, Google Play Services to be turned on to download and to work on my phone.
