Gateway Computer Wireless Setup

I have been looking to replace my wireless gateway from Comcast for a while now. Recently some new products such as the Google Home caught my attention since they had multiple access points that are placed around your house. This setup has been used in enterprise for years. The only downfall which made me stay away was the lack of customization and advanced features. Using the Synology Router has been like no other. The user interface is the best I have every used, there are so many features and add-ons, I have yet to use them all. Some key points of the router is the 802.11ac antennas, they also operate at a newer channel so currently I am the only one in my apartment complex to be on this channel. The add-ons that are built into the router are pretty useful, my favorite is intrustion prevention since it will monitor network traffic and alert and or block traffic is reconginizes as being harmful. Overal I love this router, many of the issues I had with the range and connectivity on my old gateway have been resolved with this new router. I will continue to purchase their routers in the future. #sweepstakes

This router works well with other Ubiquity Unifi devices including managed switches, wireless access points and network extenders. This router is fast. The self hosted server app works well on a Windows 10 pc. What isn't clear from the product description or BHP tech support is that the 2.5 GB ports adapt to 1 GB connections and that this router can replace an older Ubiquity UniFi router by plug and play. All that is needed, is to replace the new router on the gateway connection and adopt the device. Once you adopt the new router you get a message saying you can't have 2 gateways. Then just go and forget/remove the old gateway router from the app and re-adopt the new gateway router. Give it a bit of time and all the settings will be automatically applied to the new router. I have a xfinity cable modem, UniFi gateway router, 2 UniFi 8 port managed switched, 1 UniFi WAP, 2 UniFi Beacon wireless network extenders and about 50 network devices managed with a fixed ip setup. My only complaint is that nobody at BHP or Ubiquity could give me a straight answer on upgrading the router.

Printer is great. Not too big. My biggest concern was the setup, based on reviews. I downloaded the app to set up my computer. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world but not the hardest. When I went to set up my wife's computer, it automatically detected it via wireless. So no need to even set hers up at all. Can't complain. Using the simple wireless function as default for both of ours because why not?

Purchased this for home use. We have three laptops and the wireless feature allows for all of us to print from or scan to each computer. Setup was easy. Printing quality is excellent and fast. I have only had a short time but what I have been able to accomplish with it so far has exceeded my expectations.

This compact scanner came well packaged, yet was easy to get out and setup. The accompanying guides made for a quick read since they are easy to understand and well-illustrated. The setup is easily done via the wireless-duplex-touchscreen. Scanning can then be started from the unit itself, a computer or a smart mobile device. It will connect either via wireless or included USB cable. You can directly load the output to a variety of places including the computer, cloud, email etc. It offers various output formats and will scan individual or large amount of items from its loading tray. This scanner produces really good files unbelievably fast and it never jammed. Always wanted to try out UniFi and have a 19 rack setup so I purchased this gateway (router). Has a lot of stuff built-in like CloudKey (to host the UniFi controller software), 8-port managed switch, NVR (software and hard drive bay to record cameras). The small touchscreen is neat to quickly checkout some stats on it. Very quiet operations.

Easy to setup. Replaced my Xfinity xFi Gateway but without telephone service. Working well for the first two weeks. The only issue is my box was missing the warranty card and the quick guide.

The router was easy to setup after creating an account. The instructions manual which was downloaded from the site was handy, but really not needed for the setup. The setup was easy due to the on-screen information and easy to fill fields. This router is connected to my carrier's gateway using the IP pass-through method, thus it assigned a WAN IP to the router so I could create a separate network. The Asus RT-AX88U Pro is powerful. It covered more square footage with higher signal levels than the gateway installed by my carrier. I love its enhanced security features, which are standard and at no additional cost to the user, unlike other router manufacturers that charge a fee for such services. This is an outstanding router and highly recommended. It delivers the features and performance as advertised and seen in online reviews.

Works as advertised. Hardest part of setup was putting my Xfinity gateway in bridge mode, and that wasn't hard. Eliminated dead spots inside and on the back patio.

I recently replaced my Comcast gateway with this router. It was easy to active and setup. I paired this modem with an r6700ax router and my internet speeds at home have increased substantially. Both of the devices were affordable and have definitely increased my quality of life and work from home efficiency. Would recommend this combo to anyone looking for an upgrade to their home network without breaking the bank.
