Ge Front Load Washer Spider Assembly

I went to several other websites, but they all wanted to sell me the entire spider assembly! That's like telling me the radiator cap only comes WITH an engine attached. B&H had exactly what I needed and got it to me before my next on-air program. Thanks!! 5 |

We needed two camera platforms, so I got on B&H looking for Spider Pods (which I used at my previous two jobs), but they don't carry them. I was highly skeptical when I came across this Axler system, but we were desperate and bought two of these 4'x4' risers. They are SOLID AS A ROCK! I thought they were going to be flimsy and wobbly, but they didn't budge at all. I even had to service the two cameras during our live production. Me and the camera operator on these platforms and there was zero wobble. These assemble and disassemble rather quickly. They are heavy, so save your back and use a long flatbed cart for transport during load-in and load out. As mentioned by others, the cases for these risers are the Achilles Heel. Handle stitches ripped when lifting the bag, and got several small tears in the fabric during the very first use. Just be delicate with the bags during transport and storage and you'll be fine. Incredible performance! I'm so glad we gave them a try. 5 |

Easy assembly to the mount, very sturdy and good load capacity. Like the retractable needle on the bottom so it can used both indoors and outdoors. Wonderful 5 |

I did not encounter any issues with assembly. A stub screwdriver is included but you'll want to use your own nicer one because the parts of the rack come with numerous screws pre-screwed in which have to come out first. I screwed together all parts loosely first followed by tightening to help with hole alignment. I had also purchased a shelf and appropriate mounting hardware but the extra hardware was unnecessary because the baggies of 10-32 screws and 12-24 screws that were included with the rack were more than sufficient. Very minor notes: the Auray badge stuck to the front was also offset on my rack, and, the main B&H image of the rack shows the back plate below the front edge of the top which is a little funny because the manual indicates it's to be installed on the back--not that it matters. 5 |

I needed to make a few changes to use this product to fit my particular lens and battery grip. The quick release that came on the support assembly made the lense sit to high to fit in the front support groove. So I also purchased a flat quick release assembly to replace the one that came with the lens support. The flat quick release lowered the camera body and lense to set in the front V support quite nicely. Am happy with the product. 5 |

A polarizer is a useful accessory for a super-telephoto, especially for distance shots such as landscapes of mountains because it can eliminate a lot of the stray light reflected from atmospheric haze and pollution. It works well on photos taken in a direction perpendicular to the sun but is not effective at reducing haze on photos lit from in front or behind. Because the front of super-telephotos do not accept screw on filters this is really your only practical option if you want to use a polarizer. To use simply squeeze the two buttons and lift to remove the OEM lens filter holder and insert the circular polarizering assembly the same way. There is small fingerwheel at the top of the assembly that rotates the polarizer as the wheel is turned and the effect is visible in the viewfinder. I found it took more rotations of the fingerwheel to rotate the filter than I liked but it's not a major problem. I think the cost is quite reasonable as the filter assembly appears to be built to the same high standards as Canon's line of super-telephoto lenses and the polarizer comes inside a handy and well made plastic case. I have not appraised the filter from an optical perspective but I assume it does not degrade the image quality as it replaces the clear glass filter that came with the lens. 5 |

Followed the assembly instructions and went together easily and it is very sturdy. A bit heavy to lift up to standing position but that's a great way to build muscle! Printer fits perfectly on bottom shelf, attached power bar under smallest shelf, this is truly a wonderful mobile workstation! Notes on measurements - overall measurements - front to back is 28 inches (71..1 cm), across front is 27.5 inches (69.8 cm), the lowest setting for the front working shelf is 31.25 inches (79.4 cm) from floor to bottom of the shelf. I love it! - on the downside - because it is heavy I do not recommend fro use on pile carpeting. 5 |

This rack is exactly what I expected and what I needed. Easy to assemble and pretty well built. Not fancy, but looks good. I would not call this heavy duty by any stretch of the imagination, but it does seem robust enough for fairly heavy equipment (it seems a bit flimsy during the assembly process, but once it is all together it is pretty strong and rigid). This rack has usable rails on both the front and back -- excellent for a number of reasons such mounting heavy equipment with rear attachment points, mounting rear facing patch panels, or making the rack double-sided, provided the gear is not too deep and doesn't run too warm). I like the fact that the rack can be setup as metric or imperial threads (as others have noted, pay attention during assembly to ensure that you have the desired threads facing outward; it would be possible to have metric on the front, imperial on the rear (or vice versa), but this could be confusing). Includes a full set of screws for both the metric and imperial threads and the blank panel. 5 |
