Ge Top Load Washer Tech Sheet

I love it. It was easy to use. I got this without ever having developed any 4x5 film. It was easy to load (no practice because I didn't want to burn a sheet of film... but if you can you should practice though). Regardless, it was very seamless for me. The tank does spill a bit of liquid but i just put a towel on top as I agitate. I would recommend but remember, I haven't tried anything else.

This paper has the highest Dmax I have so far used with the Epson P800 printer. It is not terribly convenient to have to load each sheet from the front loading tray in order to obtain the maximum benefit. Having a custom icc profile made will help that problem using the top loader.

This bag is great! The price is very reasonable, it has plenty of room to load 4x5 sheet film in regular holders and in a graflex graphmatic 6 sheet holder. It has been warm and humid but the bag is comfortable for hands to work in.

I found this easier to load and simple to process with than a typical paterson and a 6 sheet holder. The reduced volume of chemicals is a big plus and its much more portable for developing while I travel

The SP-445 has worked very well for me so far. It’s easy to load and development is even and complete. One of the criticisms of this tank is that it leaks. If you follow the directions though, leaking is eliminated or at least minimized. I’ve used Combi-Plans, trays and BTZS tubes to develop sheet film and I think this device is by far the easiest to use. My only knock on the SP-445 is it seems to be a bit spendy for what it is. Then again, I don’t know the costs involved in fabricating a device like this so maybe the price accurately reflects those costs. Overall, it’s a well thought-out and built device for developing sheet film.

Really easy to load 4x5 sheet film. The film is held firmly in place by the 2 camera halves which cleverly uses magnets to make a right fit. Black textured surface. The shutter, again using magnets, slides open and closed with no slack. Very nicely engineered. A FOV sticker works. Also included is an exposure calculator which worked the first time I tried it. Using ilford Ortho plus my first exposure was stunning. Kudos to Ilford. Love that infinite depth of field.

Easy to load sheet film, simple fill and drain chemicals, simple agitation, even development. Works great

Reels are easy to load, the top goes on and you are on your way. Couldn't be simpler.

Someone please tell me any other film washer better than this.

You can use them as a third hand. You never have enough clamps ge tthe bundle its worth it.
