General Electric Universal Remote Auto Code Search

As instructions recommends, have it installed by a qualified electrician! By Ontario electric code (Canada) you cannot make wire connections inside the electrical panel! So DIY videos are not applicable in this case. Electrician took 2.5 hours to install. Moved my fridge, gas furnace, and lights / wifi to the switch. Very happy.

For time lapse photography and use as a general remote.

I opted for the key download and when I entered the key code via the Photoshop Help Manage my Account menu it worked fine, and auto-propagated to Lightroom, etc. without any problems. The download key keeps me in control of renewal; Adobe does not have my CC info so NO auto-renewal.

I travel, Buick is my search engine. I use Nikkor glass, 28-300 & 200-500 zooms. I love to see what is around the next bend. So I guess I'm a snapshot shooter, shoot mostly hand held, & I like high resolution images. I shoot inside museums, outside wildlife, dusk cityscapes, bird in flight, whatever. Low light focusing & noise free higher ISO are great things, as is the big bright viewfinder for tracking BIF. (Attached snow geese in DX crop). I shoot manual exposure, auto focus. The ability to program multiple buttons for different auto focus on & modes is a great thing. The detail in the images out of the D850 is amazing! I'm looking forward to many years of shooting with this camera.

Extremely easy to use. This remote actually sets the auto focus also.

This lens is fantastic, a complete steal. The photos it takes are consistently sharp and beautiful, and the auto-focus actually works pretty well. It's certainly fast enough (aperture-wise) for macro work (since I often stop down to f/8 or f/11 anyways). I also use it pretty consistently as a general carry-around lens. It's right in that 70mm EFL sweet spot, and does a remarkably good job in lots of situations. It has replaced my kit zooms for general walking around, since it's so freakin light. That said, it doesn't feel cheap at all. Cons: auto-focus speed, I suppose (but what do you expect when you're an inch from the subject? --- it works great at anything but the closest distances), focal length means getting VERY close to things if you want that 1:1 magnification. It is very easy to protect, since the front element is recessed VERY deeply into the body, but I stick a multi-coated UV filter on all my lenses anyhow. Final thoughts: I would recommend this lens to any 4/3 DSLR user. Not only is it dirt cheap, but it takes PHENOMENAL pictures, consistently better (in terms of sharpness and chromatic aberration) than the Olympus kit lenses (which aren't anything to sniff at themselves). Buy it. You won't regret it. It's one of the cheapest toys (price-wise) you can get yourself, and the macro will entertain you for HOURS. It could stave off that pricey zoom lens for at least a few months ;)

I use it for close up shots and mainly when I go to auto racing events and other general stuff. Ive found a lot of uses for this lens. The lens is really fast and captures everything I need. The only downside I would say is that is a little on the heavy side but after using it for a while you get used to it and you don't feel it at all.

What a wonderful, simple, tool for landscape photographers. I use my cabled remote for most of my landscape shooting and always had to search for it dangling somewhere under the tripod or try to wrap it around something. This has a semi-permanent spot on one of the legs.
