Generic Flash Disk Usb Device Driver Windows 7
DataTeck | 2024-09-03 02:53:47 |
After upgrading to Windows 10 my HP computer the built-in sound card stopped working and I couldn't find a driver to work with Windows 10, this small device was simple to install, just plug the device to a USB port and installed it's own driver automatically and it was up and running in no time. I don't mind the device sticking out is just like any USB drive. 5 |

The only USB converter that I found that works with Windows 7 64 bit. Just plugged it in, windows went out and found the driver (did NOT have to use the CD that came with) and it works it works, it works!! 5 |

I was looking for USB to serial adapter which will work under the Windows 7 and this adapter does exactly that. Even better - Windows 7 already has built-in driver for this adapter! 5 |

As many of the other reviewers of this product mention, I too went to search for a driver. After wasting time doing that, I realized that when I restarted my computer, it just magically recognized the device and when I inserted a DVD, or CD, I was able to burn them to my computer. It seems to work on my Windows 7 and Mac operating systems just fine. I have a MacBook Pro without a built-in CD/DVD drive, so this works nicely. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (mac) and Windows 7 in Parallels and have been able to burn discs nicely. I would advise forgetting about the usual driver headache that we come to expect when we get new devices and if your computer does not recognize/"see" the device in Finder (mac) or Explorer (windows) when you first plug it in, try a restart and try to plug it in and start playing with it! Sometimes we like to complicate things that do not ask to be complicated...at least that was my experience. 5 |

I needed to replace a Focusrite Scarlette 2i2 that was having driver issues with Windows 11. This Peavey USB-P needs no drivers and has worked flawlessly, so far. My only issue was that it did not include the USB type B cable. I scavenged a cable from a USB-connected printer, until I can purchase a new cable. 5 |

USB 3.0, included USB hub, external powering and complete flexibility for your ports to be in or out, what else could you want? And now they include rack mount ears in a clever arrangement. Finally the best part - make sure to install their custom driver and don't use the default Windows one. That way you get interface multi-client, meaning the driver does not get locked to one client (so you can run multiple applications off the interface at once). Otherwise avoid the MOTU interfaces. I had to junk a MIDI Express XT because their driver (from 2013!) refuses to let a Windows computer sleep. They verified the issue, but yet at the time of this review, many months later, they neglect to fix it. So I had to buy a new interface, but this one is better anyhow. 5 |

No knock on the product, but I had hoped it would connect my USB -B ported laser printer to the USB-C port on my notebook. It's an older printer and the port is USB 2.0 standard. The description for this cable said USB 2.0 so I hoped Windows would recognize the printer. The printer manufacturer (very well known Brand) does not provide a driver for Windows 10, but their Website says Windows 10 comes with a driver for it. This printer worked with my previous Windows 10 notebook via USB, and via ethernet worked with previous Windows versions back to XP. The computer would see the printer and list it's name, but would not install the driver. I tried a few other USB adapters with same problem and no luck. Turns out you need software in addition to hardware to make this conversion. I have since obtained a Startech port adapter for connecting my notebook to dual monitors, mouse, keyboard, ethernet, and the printer all through the notebooks 1 free USB-C port. Had to install drivers for the port adapter first, but now everything is working great. If you have a new printer, with installation software, this cable may work just fine. If your printer is old, you will need a port adapter with software. 5 |

Bought to use in USB class-compliant mode but also occasionally use it with a Windows 11 PC. The USB driver passes all of the Windows Driver Verifier checks. And it works pretty well in Linux, too, though one cannot access all of its features. 5 |

I replaced an OEM HDD on a Windows 8 HP G7-2246nr laptop with this SSD using Macronium Reflect Free. Noticed improved speed right away. Old HDD was hot to touch when removed. Glad it's gone. Here is what I did. 1) Created system image of entire old HDD to additional external USB HDD using Windows 8 File Recovery tool just in case. 2) Purchased USB 3 to SATA cable. 3) Installed Reflect and viewed support page that explains how to use Reflect. IMPORTANT 4) Cloned all partitions of old HDD in the same order that they are listed under source disk (0) in Reflect. Since is was downsizing from 512 GB old HDD to 240 GB SDD, I paused after dragging C: into destination disk to resize it down to 197 GB and set the drive letter from Auto to C. 5) Added all subsequent partitions including D for recovery (25 GB). Finished Clone keeping all partitions at original size except for C drive. 5) Shut down laptop and swapped out the hard drives and rebooted. Windows 8 recognized the SSD and there was no need to go into EUFI. 5 |

This is a great value-- 5TB will give me the room I need to back up files and archive. This is not the fastest drive but I wasn't looking for speed-- just cheap storage. I was also looking for reliability. This is a good brand. Compact, rugged, and highly visible. Compatible with MAC or Windows. Make sure you use a dedicated cable-- USB C to USB C or USB C to USB A-- no adapters. I tried a USB A adapter on a USB C cable and my IMAC did not see the drive-- not even in disk utility. A regular USB C to USB A cable did the trick. It did not mount directly-- I still had to go in to disk utility but there it was. It comes formatted in EX-FAT but I reformatted easily in to MAC Journal Extended. I was up and running in minutes. I also plugged it in to a Windows 10 laptop before the reformat, and it saw the drive right off. A great purchase and I'm happy with the drive. It's no speed demon, but that's not why I picked it up. Image shows HD and USB C to USB A cable (cable not included). 5 |
