I TOOK MY SPEAKER ON A RAFT TO FLOAT A RIVER WITH MY FRIENDS, WE HIT A TREE AND WE WENT DOWN. SO FAST. THE SPEAKER WAS SUBMERGED FOR LIKE A SOLID 2 MINUTES WHILE WE PANICKED AND MADE OUR WAY TO A SMALL ISLAND. I SET IT OUT IN THE SUN TO HOPEFULLY DRY IT AND NOT GET IT RUINED. IT DID GREAT. I TURNED IT ON 5 MINUTES LATER AND IT WORKED JUST FINE. I PLAYED A SOUND TO GET THE WATER OUT AS MUCH AS I COULD BUT IT DID GREAT! WE WERE STRANDED FOR 3 HOURS AFTER RHAT IN THE WOODS SURROUNDING THE RIVER TRYING TO GET TO THE MAIN ROAD, AND WE LISTENED TO TOOL THE ENTIRE TIME . IF I COULD RATE THIS A 20/5 I WOULD. 5 |

Out of the box I was surprised about the weight - it is very light. After taking several hundred pictures with this lens I'm impressed by the auto focus - it is lightning fast. There are plenty of reviews that would give more technical information, so all I can contribute is that this was a wise purchase for me - a great macro lens as well as nice portrait lens. If you are reading these reviews and are trying to decide about purchasing it, I would say do it. It's very sharp, focuses fast and is versatile. I use this with a 60D. 5 |
