This thing has so many uses, it's crazy: - Swap between 3/8 and 5/8 - Swap between two mic clips (e.g. one for dynamic, one for LDC). - Swap between stereo bar and mono mic. - Use it AS a stereo bar! - Put a vocal mic on top and guitar mic below! - Use it as the center of a very small Decca Tree! - Get an extra ~1' on your slightly short mic stand. - Get over the rim of a piano with a LDC. It's got a bit of weight to it, but not overly heavy. The clamping pressure is excellent especially with how short the boom is, and the single knob controlling both rotation and sliding is quick and intuitive. Overall a very cool little boom for those special little jobs. 5 |
