Gigabit Cat6 To Crossover Ethernet Adapter

Works fine with Windows and Mac. This adapter can basically max out a gigabit Ethernet connection. I have it connected to a USB port on the back of my monitor so that a single cable gets me not only power and video, but also a better internet connection.

I'm using this short CAT6 cable to patch my router and switch together. It is delivering a gigabit connection and seems to be of good quality. I also like the color options as it makes it easier to follow connections.

Recently upgraded to gigabit home network to gigabit. These cat6 cables work very well and the snagless design makes it easy to fish them from wall outlet to computer, switch and router.

I bought 4 of these TRENDnet Switches. They work as advertised, with 1 Gigabit speed over CAT6 Ethernet Cable. I used the Cat6 Snagless Patch Cable ( B&H Item: PECC6SL100B ) for my installation and the switches work just fine. They are small, come in a metal case, never get hot and you can daisy chain them. The version I received has the power connector on the left side of the switch, NOT at the back as pictured beside the ports. Hope that helps.

Use these at home and at our Church. Several are placed in various areas to support our LAN - Use Cat6 cables and you have a gigabit network. There are faster switches, but this is fast enough for very thing we have needed to use it for.

We use these switches to expand lab ethernet connections. All ports are autosensing and autoMDX, so there is no need for crossover cables, or dedicating ports based on topology. The unit draws less than 4W, and both it and the AC adapter stay cold. If you need an unmanaged 10/100/1000 switch, these are a good choice.

This is the cheapest SFP+ switch (but reliable) I could find for my homelab. Many others are more expensive. After reading reviews on the Mikrotik SFP+ options I decided to stay with Unifi since I already had many Ubiquiti Ethernet switches and a controller in place. I am also connecting this to a Unifi 24-port via 1-Gb SFP as a link and connecting to my core switch via 10GbE over CAT6. Core switch is an FS.COM unit with a 10GbE Ethernet transceiver. No issues negotiating to 10GbE. The CAT6 cable run is probably under 50 feet. I am also using old Finisar transceivers without issue, but have not tried DAC cables yet. However, if you do not have a Unifi Controller in place perhaps wait for the new QNAP managed combo switches coming out. It will be a lot simpler. Or you can get the more expensive EdgeSwitch ES-16-XG.

Not much to say, it's a USB to Ethernet adapter. Works exactly like you would want it to.

Cox just upped my speed ... needed an approved modem with a gigabit ethernet port, more channels and RAM. Works great with my Netgear WNDR3700 router. Expect it to go a few years!
