Ha ha. My headlines sounds like Dwight Schrute, Jackhammer. Merciless. I've had the v-mount versions for years, but finally started using the gold mount version as well. I wish they made gold mount in white like they do the v-mount (I like them b/c I don't know anyone with white batteries, so I can easily quickly distinguish mine from others). Minor quibble, b/c everything else is great. For a 140wh batt to be about 2 lbs is amazing. My old IDX Endura Elites were 3 lbs...these things are stronger too and last longer. I really like the p-tap plugs. It rains a lot in Seattle, and I never worry about rain getting in them. They offer 12v continues draw, so heavier load items that are also running off the camera battery are less likely to fail---like a Preston on a lot of 93wh batts...you can't fly with more than 2 of these b/c they're over 100wh, unless they are attached to devices...so I throw on a battery plate or adapter plate...etc...I keep one on the camera itself which counts as a device. Occasionally on travel jobs I've handed off a couple to producers flying with us so I can travel with as many as I want. This particular one is my 6th. (6 more to go! I want 12x for steadi---4 on the charger, 4 on the rig, and 4 in the AKS bag or on the cart ready to go.)

The battery is for an older calculator. Back of the calculator indicated a different battery. After opening the calculator took the old battery out and the new one from B&H in it's place. Simple fix.

The soft gold throws a lot of light. This is a big reflector, so if you're shooting outside on a windy day hang on. It packs up easily and carries easily.

I have a lot of gold mounts from another camera and used them to attach to this adapter and it worked perfectly on my Komodo. I also like that you can easily tap out from it.

I do not only have Mogami Gold as the only cable for my studio as that would be cost prohibitive for me, personally. For example, a lot of my drum cabling is longer and not Mogami Gold. However, I use them for the most exacting specifications such as my vocal chain and from my patch-bay for the reason that they have never let me down once.

For many years we have used MAM-A Gold DVDs for archival backup to the hard drives we use for long term storage of images. All hard drives eventually fail and it feels good to have a backup. It took a lot of discs. In addition to the space it took a lot of time to burn the discs. Now we just load 70-90 GB of images into the queue and go home. In the morning it is done. I haven't tried to retrieve images after a hundred years but I haven't done that with the gold discs either.

Finally dropped the gold. It was everything I hoped it was. I have a lot of Zeiss glass and this is no exception. Ran it thru tests at all f stops. Nothing soft. Good edge-to-edge resolution. Another Zeiss winner. Great portrait lens at f11. Or any f stop really. Your pick.
