Many years ago in the 1970s I owned a pro recording studio. Had the best of what was then available. Now I’m recording my own horn playing as a hobby. I wanted a headset with a “flat” frequency response curve, not the consumer bass boost headset common to Best Buys and other chain retailers. This is exactly that, and for a third the cost of the boomy headsets widely sold. I really like hearing exactly what I’ve recorded, not a boomed-up version for lots more money. 5 |

I am gonna report back after shooting a season with these. But after doing a couple small projects, my initial impression is, zoom killed it! sure there are some features that would be nice to add, wireless transmitting for monitoring while recording being the biggest one, or even just checking levels over the app while recording, to make sure its still working. But, dreaming aside, the 32bit float audio recording on these blows all the competition (besides tentacle sync of course) out of the water! I will never go back to anything but 32bit float recording at this point. 5 |
