Good 100 Pull Down Projector Screen

This projector is now installed on my ceiling, and is for home theater use with a 100 inch screen. I have had it about a week now and am completely blown away. Until now my only exposure to 3D has been in movie theaters. The HD66 is comparable to this experience, mostly limited by my sound system. You do have to adjust the factory settings but when done WOW. The only negative I have is it requires the use of an adapter (3D-XL) to view Bluray 3D movies. However, for a combined price of less than a grand, it can't be beat. I would highly recommend its purchase by others.

We use this for a movie and game projector on a 100 inch (diag) screen. We have been hooked since day one and really have no complaints! Very easy to set up and use and the picture is fantastic. I researched for a long time before buying and B&H photo had the lowest price. Very happy customer overall!!

I have the original push pull 100-400, and recently bought this lens. It is very good, it is sharper than the original, the auto focus is faster, plus it has the It has a rotation ring focus rather than a push pull, which is a bit more intuitive. It is a bit heavier than the old lens, and has a mounting foot that you cannot remove like you could on the old lens. I do wildlife photography and this is good for most of the range. I have a 70-200 mm lens, but never use it any more since this covers more range. I can hand hold this lens and get good sharp photos.

I installed them next to my projector screen and they sound great.

If you use wind screens on your Countryman, these can sometimes pull off leaving your mic with no protection and no way to attach the screen, so it's always good to have spares. I find the flat response shields are best for varied sound settings.

I needed a good projector screen as the walls weren't cutting it anymore. I purchased this portable projector screen. It is a little heavier than I expected, but the handles are really great and it stores nicely, and of course it makes my presentation look much better. The price was right, and most important B&H had in stock for me to pick up the same day (other stores didn'thave).

I have an Epson 5050 for my home theater with a 175 screen. I bought it because I needed the brightness for that screen size, it has very good contrast and I hate the rainbow effect of single-chip DLP. When it came time for a projector for my office video editing suite, I felt the 5050 was overkill on a 150 screen. Reviews on this 3800 were good so I took a chance and I have to say it's great. Good optics, very sharp picture, good image. Contrast not quite as good as the 5050 but close. The 3D capability is awesome. This is an outstanding projector and because it's 3 LCD, no rainbow effect. Plenty bright for a 150 screen too. Very sharp. Love it.

I am very pleased with this projector. Projecting onto a 10' screen from a Blu-Ray player, regular DVD's look very good and Blu Ray looks excellent. 720P is definitely good enough for me. I think the uprezing of regular DVD's from my Sony BDP-S570 Blu Ray player improves the contrast and look of regular DVD's. I am super impressed watching regular DVD's this way although of course on analysis they do look softer than Blu-Ray discs. Black levels are not super black but are fine. In regular viewing I do not notice any DLP issues. If I scan my head back an forth really quickly I notice a bit of rainbow effect, but seriously who does that when they are watching a movie? I just did it out of curiosity! Projector is small, light and I see the lamps are comparatively cheap. This for me makes a difference as I do not have to think of the cost of running the projector when lamp replacement is half the cost of some other projectors. I am using the lamp on economy/long life mode and it is plenty bright. Fan is audible but not distracting once the movie is playing. The one issue that should be considered is placement. With only a 1.05x lens finding a suitable place to mount the projector and a suitable screen size and placement took a fair amount of thought. I would say the image quality is higher sending it a 720P image from the Blu Ray player compared to a 1080P image and letting the projector downrez. Also the projector switches from different resolutions with no visible hiccups when this method is chosen. Bottom line - for the modest cost this is an excellent budget projector. Rating reflects that. It surpassed my expectations.

Now that I have used the projector several times, I can say that it is even better than expected. Good images in a large hall with a very large screen to fill.
