Back in 2009, I panned this product for sloppy construction standards and lack of a closeable cardboard box, which had been available previously. Based on the most recent review, I recently purchased three more of these slide boxes and am happily surprised. The closing cardboard box is back (which I use for storage and transporting), the slide box itself seems more robust (riveted and welded latches; back to the original latch design), and each row is the proper width. Best slide storage solution on the market.

This is a good value for someone beginning to explore the theremin. You’ll almost certainly want some ¼” patch cords to go into a proper sound system. The 2” built-in speaker is only suitable for confirming operation. This item was shipped to me in 4 different boxes, even though the entire set could have fit easily into the outer shipping box for the Theremini. That little stand adapter, for instance, came in tiny ziploc bag a 12”x12”x3” box, 99% filled with air pillows. What a completely wasteful and ridiculous shipping choice!
