I have taken photographs for over 50 years with 35mm film cameras, Canon digital cameras, a medium format RB 67 and a 5x7 Deardorff. The combination of this lens on the Leica M10 Monochrome produces images that rival a 5x7 camera, and you can carry it in one hand. Once you see the sharpness and contrast from this lens you are spoiled and other camera / lens systems seem just a bit off. Warning: whenever you're using your other camera systems you'll be wondering how much better the image could be with this lens.

Very well made. I have two of these. I just leave them on the cameras and then screw the lens in just like you would on a 35mm film camera that takes any M-42 threaded lens. I shoot all my digital and film stills with my older Takumars from the late 1960s to early 1970s.

Has been my go-to B&W film for all my 35mm cameras. consistent results with great contrast and fine grain. Just love the look of the resulting images..

This is used on my carbon fiber tripod for DSLRs and 35mm film cameras. I may use it for my RB-67 also. I have enjoyed the stick grip on my monopod and this is a great performer so far. It is a bit heavy on the carbon fiber tripod and makes the assembly a bit top heavy, but has caused no issues yet.

As others have noted, this is Ektachrome 5294 movie film, spooled in to cassettes, for 35mm still cameras. It has great color, and saturation, as well pleasing skin tones. Like its sold by Kodak Alaris counterpart, it is a great all around film. I use it for all occasions, both in the studio, and outdoors. Since it is a movie film, it doesn't have frame numbers along the edges; not a big deal, just something to note.

Ektar 100 is among the best 35mm films available today. It is a very fine grained film which produces super sharp images. I love the deep color saturation and contrast as well. I disagree with the review that states that Ektar doesn't do well at night as I use it pretty routinely for night photos with great results. I don't consider Reala to be in the same class as Ektar. I also find it very forgiving as I have exposed it at ASA 400 and still got acceptable results. The colors went super-saturated though. This film is great for strobist work and product shots due to it's sharpness. I think it is great for portraits as well even though you probably would benefit from softening the sharpness down some. I've compared results to a D7000, D300 and other digital cameras and they still aren't on par with Ektar. I also appreciate how flat it lays on my Epson V700 scanner; very well behaved! I use this film a lot on several different film cameras and lens combinations. I have several examples on my flickr page: username greauxe then search for ektar from my photostream

This is a manual lens but as someone who grew up on 35mm film cameras that's not a problem. The unit arrived in pristine condition and I was able to take it for a test drive immediately. Used on a crop sensor Sony A*** made it approximately equivalent to an 18mm FF lens, plenty wide for multiple uses. I'm not a professional but have found the lens to provide a very clean photo with decent, if not perfect, bokeh while keeping the overall photo very clean and crisp, especially towards the center and utilizing the center range of stops.
