I've been living in closed-back world for a few years thanks to office life. As my job transferred to remote and I had my wife sitting next to me, being able to hear her and things around the house became more important. I snagged these after a good amount of research around decent-to-good open-back gaming headphones (without being Gamer headphones). These are incredibly comfortable and sound great (running through a Schiit Fulla) with a great punch and nothing sounding too muddled. Definitely one of my more rapid favorites in my headphone lineup. 5 |

Great closed back headphones. Fairly linear, good separation. Mine required burn-in. Ignore comments about shoddy construction unless you plan to sit on 'em. From just listening all the way to mixing, they should get the job done for you. 5 |

These headphones showed me there is indeed, a difference between closed back headphones and open back headphones. These , I think, are listed as semi-open back. I really like the sound. Arrived quickly and was well packaged. 5 |

For the money, these little wonders are as good as it gets. Clean mids and highs, great soundstage, and visceral bass Pros: -Sound incredible for the money; can compete with many much higher-priced phones, especially of the boutique variety (Bose, Skullcandy, etc) -Comfortable for long stretches -Don't require a dedicated amplifier (but can still benefit from one) -Simple, functional, and durable design Cons: -Pleather earcups get quite hot; not unique to these but rather a characteristic of all closed and semi-closed headphones with pleather cups Other thoughts: -Quite large. These compete with the Everglide S500's for being the biggest cans I own -These aren't true closed phones. As such, they do not provide the isolation you may expect Final thought: -If you only have $40 to spend on full-size headphones, there is simply no point in looking any further. They aren't just great for the money. They are just plain great! 5 |

These are certainly the best sounding wireless headphones I’ve ever heard. I use these closed BT phones exclusively for listening away from my home system...flying, coffee-shop, traveling etc. Obviously my open-air wired phones I use at home exhibit markedly higher-fi sound quality; but these Marshall BT Monitors are my hands down go-to when I need a wireless phone. My only critique for the designers would be to somehow make them a little easier to fold down, as I kind of feel like I’m going to stretch the headband too much or accidentally brake the hinges when folding down. That said I wouldn’t use any other BT headphones besides the Monitor! 5 |

These have to be one of the best values in headphones, and they're made in the USA. I recently switched from a pair of closed-back to these open-back and I am loving them. My one gripe is that they are tight fitting. I have a relatively small head and I find these uncomfortable after about 45 minutes. I'm hoping they loosen up after some use. Now back to Oysterhead! 5 |

I debated between these, and the AT-50s that seem to be it's closed back competition. I do not have a lot of extensive use with headphones, never much cared for them. But new living space calls for quiet listening at night, so, headphones. The only other pair I've used a lot are an old pair of Pioneer closed-back cans. Frankly, I do not like the style, too confining, creates pressure in my head, etc. These have none of that. Very open, comfortable (very good for large heads, but maybe bad for small ones), and no real fatigue. There is some, again, not a regular user until now (46) so that probably factors in just getting used to them. But sound wise, I'm really impressed. Hearing so much new detail I've picked up on before in many records. Clear, excellent bass, detailed mids, pretty-clean highs (could be smoother, but I also think headphones in general have harsher treble), but I'm kind of nitpicking there. Excellent, well-built cans. 5 |

My main focus was to find closed-back headphones that were not expensive, but great quality. I picked up these and the feel of it was great. It blocked out, I would say, 95percent of the sound which was perfect. Great for recording sessions. However, if you’re looking to get one for mixing, I would recommend open-back headphones. These are still good if you travel and work on projects on the go. But you need sound to breathe. Perfect headphones! 5 |
