Good Decibel Levels For Recording Studio

I use this for in-studio video in my recording studio. It records beautifully at lower light levels. The ability to record 2 formats at once is a time saver. It is compact, light and all the functions are easy to learn. The battery takes a long time to charge.

Good to know your levels.

nice little recorder. no way to see levels during recording, but after some try outs with the mic you use, distance to recording subject and gain settings (low, mid, high) you get a feel for how to use it with good levels. second track at lower db is great & crucial to use (in my opinion). the recorder is somewhat fragile but for the low price you will have to substitute for that with extra care. I use it with a rode nt3 (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/233750-REG/Rode_NT3_NT3_Microphone.html), a condenser mic with its own battery powered phantom power & have been getting good results.

Now I don't need t be glued to my Zoom recorder in order to see if my levels are good or if the zoom is recording. With my phone I can see everything.

I purchased these about a month ago. This is my first foray into wireless noise canceling headphones in about five years, I am impressed with the improvements. The sound quality is simply terrific, approximately as good as a set of wired headphones of similar cost. The wireless link is reliable, no interference or dropouts noted though in fairness I usually use these with my phone which is never more than a few feet away. I purchased these in part to replace a set of headphones that I use when I cut my grass. That is a very challenging environment for noise reduction as it contains wide band noise from very low frequencies up to almost the limit of human hearing. The noise is also at a fairly high decibel decibel level, something like 90+dba at 1 m. The headphones knocks the mower noise down to a really surprising level, and even with the noise reduction working that hard the audio still sounds great. I also very much appreciate the touch features of these headphones. My experience with non-phone/computer gesture sensing has not been good. However these sense tap and swipe gestures very reliably. The headphones come in a small zippered case and include accessories such as an airplane adapter and hardwired cable. They charge in three hours or less, usually much less, from USB-C. Sony also has an app available for iOS and android that provides various settings for noise reduction, equalizer, and setting the function of a dedicated button on the headphones. I can't speak to the iOS version but the android version works well, I've had absolutely no issues with it. Overall I think these are a great choice, and well worth the price.

If your needs are anything less than a professional recording studio, these are the headphones for you.

This is a great mic for its intended use. I do a fair bit of studio recording and so am familiar with some good mics, but I got this mic to use at school for podcasting and sampling and to produce radio spots and commercials. It's grrreat...sturdy, clear, great construction. Bass isn't exactly thumping but that's not what this mic is about. Also, the plug-and-play functionality works great...have tried it with windows, mac, and even linux...sonar producer, garage band, cubase, and audacity. Super easy with all and solid results. I wanted a decent quality, well-built USB mic for simple use, and I'm happy.
