Good value for my older Nikon DSLR camera. 5 |

I use this camera in addition to my DSLR in places where the dslr gets too bulky to move around with - exceptional good lens. 5 |

This is my first dslr camera. The picture is great, and the body is small but compact. It's good for traveler. 5 |

It’s a easy use travel camera which is good enough and handy. It’s Next or Second camera since it can’t replace my DSLR, but it’s the next best thing. 5 |

I had the P900 before this and liked it. However, its so-so viewfinder made it hard to take pictures of fast moving objects like planes, birds, and pro athletes. The P1000 has a great viewfinder. It also has RAW. It's bulky, especially at full zoom, but not heavy when compared with DSLR's and big zoom lenses. It is not a camera for action photography at night. You could get some good shots in summer afternoon baseball or football games. I think it would be good for wildlife photography, especially birding. If you expect its image quality to match that of a DSLR and expensive zoom lens, you will probably be disappointed. However, it is a good all around camera for the non-professional who wants to have fun taking pictures in oh so many settings. If this camera is too big for you, consider getting the P950, which costs $200 less and goes out to only 2000mm. If you don't mind a less nice EVF, spend $200 less than that and get a P900. 5 |

This head is equally good on tripods and monopods. I use it for working with my Canon C200 camera, as well as for my DSLR combo - a Canon 5D MarkIII plus a Blackmagic Video Assist monitor. 5 |

I love this camera! This is my first DSLR camera and I find it very easy to use. I selected the Pentax K-x over the other brands because I found the controls and handling to be easier for me. The built in filters in the camera are a blast and I have used them with very good success! I even used the water color filter on a photo that I then had blown up to a poster and it is fantastic! The only issue that I seem to be running into is the HDR function and getting the images to come out right. However, I believe this to be error on my part and not the camera. The two lenses are great and I have crisp, vivid pictures. Videos have been good as well, although I haven't used that function very much. My night photos come out very well and I have very little noise at higher ISO's which I find amazing. The autofocus motor is a bit loud but not loud enough to be a negative (the motor noise made my mom jump when she tried using it for the first time, very funny!) I purchased NiZn rechargeable batteris (from B&H) to use and so far I have gotten 1000+ pictures on the first charge, and the camera still says the batteries are full. BTW- NiZn batteries are environmentally friendly and that is why I chose them. I highly recommend this camera for anyone, especially a first time DSLR user. 5 |
