I needed a pair of headphones that I could use while working out - so they needed to stay in my ears even when exercising. I needed a pair of headphones I could wear on zoom calls - so they needed to have a good microphone. I needed freedom to move as I work from home and do stuff done around the house while on calls - so they needed to be fully wireless. I needed headphones that sound good. And finally I need headphones that would work with my Android and Apple devices and switch seamlessly between them. The Powerbeats delivered on all of these points. 1. The headphones sounds smooth and clear 2. Very good noise suppression: I'm working at noisy environment and the headphones make a huge difference between with and without them. I compared them with non-professional Sony headphones with active noise cancellation ... the Sennheiser HD280 have had better noise suppression 3. The headphones are big, but no too much. Anyway, size and weight is not issue for me. As well, them may be folded, that saves half of space. 4. My single complain is for plastic coverage of headphones: it looks very thin and feels very gentle. Until now it's OK but I expected something more durable 5 |

My first encounter with AKG 240 headphones was working in magnetic tape manufacturing years ago. I used them for switch listening from master to copy. They helped tune the magnetic formula in developing good tone quality with little use of bias adjustments. They were just a good, basic headphone. I still love 'em. They make music sing. 5 |
