Good Heatsink For Gaming Computer

This was my first NVMe SSD purchase, and I could not be happier! It's been running great, and my temps are great too! I was surprised how fast Windows 11 installed on this thing. It had those files copied over and installing in hardly no time. I've installed Windows many times, but never seen it install that fast. No issues with gaming. Games load pretty fast. Drive installation was easy. My motherboard had an included beefy heatsink, so I did not have to purchase one. So keep in mind, you don't need to buy a heatsink if your motherboard already includes a decent one. Yeah, so far all is good and hoping it stays this way! And I would certainly recommend this drive! Lastly, be sure to pull off the protective film covering the thermal pad on back of the heatsink before installing your drive. I've watched some YouTube videos of some installing their drives and forgetting to remove that film. That's not good! My System Below. System Name: GO DAWGS! I have installed it on my Asus gaming laptop for game storage as a second M.2 and it is really fast and even without heatsink, it doesn't get hot. I am considering now to buy a second one with 2TB for game storage and makes the 1TB version the primary one for the OS, as it is faster than the pre installed Samsung ssd. 5 |

Got this for a computer build for my oldest for Christmas. It's been years since I've done anything inside a computer. CPU and graphics on one chip, along with a heatsink with thermal compound already installed and fan, made it super easy to install on the AM4 motherboard I chose. The spring-loaded screws on the heatsink were a little tough to install, but otherwise no issues. The computer is WIDE OPEN with just a motherboard inside! 5 |

It's really it easy depending on your computer, I was nervous about removing the fan and heatsink to reach the motherboard but if you're patient and take your time you'll see it's a simple operation that boosts your performance at a low cost. Do it if you're on the fence, it's worth it baby. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my computer starts in under 10 seconds from a cold start and a restart is like 3-4 seconds. Applications open up in an instant. Processing happens in blink of an eye like 3d designing using CAD. All this was possible after switching to the 970 Evo plus SSD 1 TB. I have it installed in the NVME M2 slot and did install a heatsink with an active fan on it. A few months ago, the fan died and I was afraid of overheating. But as it turns out, the existing ventilation in my tower casing is enough with just the heatsink on the SSD. I was so impressed with this SSD, that i brought more and changed my laptops to this SSD from a 3.5 inch SSD! I have become so comfortable with my fast and crisp computer that now I get frustrated in my office as the computer there is "slow". Don't say you weren't warned! 5 |

I was nagged for this review, which I feel is a despicable practice that needs to end. Making it even worse is I haven't even used the SSD or cooler yet (and, if I'm lucky, I never will). I bought this one for use as a spare SSD so I could quickly replace one of the ones I already have in use if one should ever fail. I bought the combo because it was the same price as the SSD only. However, the heatsink I'm using already is not likely to ever fail. I have five identical SSDs and one cooler already in use so I'm basing this review off of them. So far, they have been working well. I use them primarily for data storage: four in a desktop computer and one in a laptop. In both computers, one of the drives in each also serves as a boot partition. For booting and running a computer from, they run as fast, if not faster, than the Samsung 970 Pros they replace which is remarkable considering that the Sabrents are TLC and the Samsungs are MLC. Write life for TLC drives are generally around half that of equally sized MLC drives but are still high enough to make it unlikely for anyone to exhaust the write life before replacing the drives for newer technology. The heatsink appears to cool better than the one used on the motherboard of my desktop computer. It just barely clears the graphics card (your mileage may vary). 5 |

Edit: I've since noticed that the heatsink in this package is a newer version that has a different mounting screw arrangement which is absolutely brilliant! Unlike the older version I'm still using, the mounting screw is captive so it can't get dropped and lost. It's also longer and the screw head is located in a recess in the top of the heatsink, making it much, much easier to guide the tip of a screwdriver onto the screw, even if you don't have a clear view of it. If buying the heat sink separately, be sure to get the SB-HTSP version. 5 |

I bought it for my use, but my son uses it for his gaming computer. Love it! 5 |

I purchased this from B&H along with a heatsink elsewhere, and - so far - it has performed really well. 5 |

So far so good! This is my first gaming computer for design and it renders fast and high quality graphics look crisp. I like the sturdy design, colorful keyboard and strong hinges for better portability. Magnificent big screen! 5 |
