Well, so far so good. I used it in raid mode and it took a long time to "time machine" a 2010 macbook pro with about 700 Gigs. Like 10 hours. No complaints, just saying'. We'll see if it lasts 5 years. In a morbid way, I am looking forward to a HD failing, plugging in a new one, and seeing if the raid re-builds the new HD. Bought this for my 13' MacBook Pro (2010 Model) and registration was a breeze!... B&H had the best price I've seen for this product. Bought it for about $190 (sealed, new) whereas Apple has it for $250....All in all, I'd buy from B&H. This was my first purchase from them and it definitely won't be my last. I needed this particular cable type to connect my mid-2010 MacBook Pro with an ASUS HD monitor. This was one of the few that wasn't 6' or longer. This is just right for me. It works perfectly.
