Amazing recording quality, good frequency range. Excellent mid-frequency voice. Adjustable gains on several settings. 5 internal mics. USB connectable for voice conferencing, on camera video recording or external input for recording from two mics. Couldn't be happier with the purchase and the price is right. You won't be disappointed. Only con is I wish there was a brass thread for the 1/4 thread base. Haven't had a problem yet, though.

Now this Mic is AWESOME considering its low price. Designed for voice recording and instruments. Gives you that FAT Sound you always wanted. The quality is about the same with more features. Shelf Filter and a (-10dB Cut). It now uses (2) AA Batteries - Finally! My only complaint? The Foam Windscreen is loose and can fall off. Who cares! This thing is great.

This microphone was purchased for church applications: recording and amplification of instruments and occasional voice applications. It is well-constructed and solid. I like the feel and robustness. I would not use this for pipe organ or grand piano music, but it is absolutely great for acoustic guitar and other instruments without significant low bass. Highly recommended.I like not having to fear an occasional drop or bump, something that is likely to happen in church use.

The Scarlett 18i20 Audio Interface is the best option if you're recording with multiple mics and instruments. Don't even consider anything else! B&H offers the best price, delivery and service of anyone as well... so don't waste your time - shop and purchase with B&H and you can't go wrong. I've been buying photo, computer and sound/recording equipment from them for over 20 years and never had a single bad experience ever!

I bought two of these packages so I would have the two medium condenser mics along with some other medium and large condenser mics for up close recording of individual instruments and use the two pencil mics to capture the stereo image from back in the audience. These two mics in this package do not disappoint -- the aural quality and clarity is great and considering the price they are phenomenal.

I was looking for a decent mic to use with my iPad for field recording of acoustic instruments and voices. I run a old-time acoustic jam and the iPad allows me to do minor editing on the spot. Had been using conventional xlr mics patched in through the earphone/mic jack, but was getting noise from the jack and background hum which was unacceptable. In shopping around, the MXL Tempo was the best value of mics which work with the iPad camera connection kit USB adapter. The mic works as advertised, right out of the box. No hum, even at high input levels, which means that instruments don't have to be right up on the mic, potentially bumping into it. The on- board earphone jack is handy, but the normal earphone jack on the iPad gives the best proof of recording quality since it is the true output. All around good product. MXL has a winner.

Other mics are C214's which we use all the time for vocals recording. I wanted a large diaphram for some voice over work and I needed to reduce background noise. For comparison on Voice Over, I still prefer small diaphram but I did not want to spend another $600 for another Audio-Technica AT4053b. This mike takes high SPL well and is a good buy. So five stars for Price/Value/Quality. The reality is that with mics, it is all in the preamps. Depending what you want at the end of the chain, buying a Grace Design m101 for $700 will mean more than spending anymore on a Mike.
