Good Mid Range Acoustic Guitar

so far I used the fat head for acoustic guitar, electric guitar cab and vocals. It provides a warm and natural sound I could not achieve with my condensers or my sm57. the highs are open but not harsh, I wouldn't count on it to pierce through a dense mix on vocals, but for folk rock kind of stuff it's beautiful. On acoustic I used it as the mid mic in a mid\side configuration with a 414 as side, I had to pull out a little around 200hz, loved the warmth and openness it provided. can't wait to give it a try on some brass. It's surprisingly heavy and feels serious.

I did extensive research after owning a Bose L1 compact and a turbosound ip500 (sold them both). I was looking for something in the $1000 range for DJing and acoustic gigs and came across the LD MAUI 11 G2. �On paper its specs are substantially better than the Bose L1 compact, and in real life AS WELL!!. � The Bose L1 compact has a wider coverage and the tone match for guitar allows to bypass an acoustic pedal for your guitar if needed, thats it. In EVERY other aspect the LD maui 11 g2 is better. �Having designated tweeters allows it to hit notes high in the 20k Hz range. �Bass is deep as well, much deeper and louder than the L1 compact. One can totally tell the difference between the wooden cabinet of the LD vs. plastic of others. Guitars and voices sound superb. �Dance music (latin, disco, rock, hip hop, raeggetton) is very tight and appropriate for a crowd of 40-50 people (more if used with a separate subwoofer). �As far as acoustic gigs (guitar and vocals) Id imagine it would cover a much larger crowd. �Also, the construction is superb! looks and feels extremely well built and professional! � The bad is feedback in the hi-z input when plugging in your guitar directly. �However if passed through a little mixer and going through the line input no feedback was present. � Overall excellent product!!!

Great mic for acoustic guitar and vocals

I vacillated over which mic I should buy to pair up with my acoustic guitar and my Fender Acoustic Junior amp. This turned out to be ideal.

Good for the Price of course must be used on mid to full range monitors!

sound really good on overheads, acoustic guitar, piano, hat, for me is side by side with neumann km-184 for just $200

Good quality sound on the recordings of my acoustic guitar. Simple to work with. If you just need a plug and play recording device this works really well.

You can't beat these for the price. I have used these to record acoustic guitar and they record and sound just as good as some mic's I've used costing two to three times more. Item arrived a day sooner then tracking expected. Easy website for purchasing gear. I would recommend both the mic's aND supplier
