Good Nikon For Video

Purchased for use with Nikon Z8. Fits well and works as it should. Using two batteries, it is good for video and longer shoots, especially if you want to use the vertical grip. Good value for money.

I switched from Nikon D750 to this amazing camera. It is a good camera for video and photography as well. This is totally different compared to Nikon, but I'm loving every part of it. Great camera.

Ive been using Nikon forever but traded in my D810 a year ago and got a Sony A7RIII. The Sony definitely had some decent specs but the handling and user interface was terrible. I got the Lumix S1 a few weeks ago and, despite only having the kit lens for now, Im really impressed. Menus make a lot of sense but I rarely need to access them due to intelligent defaults. Camera feels really good in my hand. The colors look really great and accurate especially compared to Sonys Bayer array and processing. Low light is really good too.  Focus is fast and super accurate for stills. Seems to hunt less than my Sony in low light which was a surprise considering its using contrast detection. The Sony does better with focus in burst mode and video though. Although video quality is substantially better on the S1 though. Ive been able to mess with the focus settings and get it to perform fairly well in AF-C for video. Anyway Im really happy to finally have a Mirrorless that seems better than my favorite DSLRs.

I got this in May 2019 to go with my Z6 (skipped the F4 kit lens) and have never looked back. I upgraded from a D750 to the Z6 and it was a good decision for me. Regarding this lens, the level of clarity I'm getting is unlike anything I've gotten in any of my Nikon 2.8 lenses before. Now I am anxiously awaiting the 70-200 F2.8S to come out! As someone noted earlier in their review, it's literally like having a bag of primes. Focus is fast and quiet. As far as weight goes, it is somewhat weighty, weighing in just a bit more than the Nikon 24-120 F4 that came with my D750. I just got back from a week of carrying it around the Gatlinburg area, along with some mountain hikes and it never got overly heavy. But I would imagine the F4 version being about 30% lighter and smaller would have been a tad better. I have yet to use the LCD screen on the lens. Using this lens for video is also very nice with the upgraded video AF now found in the Nikon mirrorless cameras. Previously, using the D750, I was 100% manual focus for video all the time and it's nice having the ability to have some AF now on that front (mostly for gimbal style work). Overall if you're into event work and need a single lens to cover a good range, I would not hesitate to get this one. I mostly do wedding and engagements (and some promotional photo/video work) and this lens has been a game changer for me.

Great product to quiet focusing noise while recording video in the Nikon D7000. Good solid build quality and performs as it should.

I am a professional photographer/videographer. I am used to traveling with an ultralight tripod. However, the one(s) that I have were just not stable enough for good video. I had an assignment coming up to video an orchestra concert, using two cameras. I needed a more stable tripod for my primary camera (Nikon D-850 w/ Nikon 28-300). Based upon the reviews, I ordered a Magnus REX VT-4000 tripod from B&H. It worked beautifully. Although it is a bit larger and heavier than the travel tripod that I am used to, the stability was good for video. Plus, panning the head was smooth and creamy. No bump at the beginning, just immediate movement that was smooth and consistent. I am ordering a second one of the same tripod from B&H for my second camera.

I was in need of a video to help me with my new Nikon D7000 and this is a very good option because the explanations are very clear and it helps you understand the potential of your camera. I recommend it.

I'm using it inside a sports car for track images and video with a Nikon S9900. Very compact, well made, good adjustability. Secure mounting to glass, not sure if I'd trust it outside without a tether.

If your attempting video with a Nikon D850 or Nikon D500 this lense is a must. Razor sharp, good in low light and excellent depth of field. It’s a game changer.

I use this with a Nikon 200-400 f/4 and D500 for video. Good value for a solid head. It is nice to see Benro makes 3 sizes. This one accommodates my specific needs. I picked this over the Manfrotto for two reasons: price and compatibility with Arca Swiss plates.
