Good Quality Stereo Receiver

I bought the stereo receiver for the price and Sony name

I used this product to connect my iPhone 5 to my stereo receiver. It is a good product so far and none of the leads or cables have shown any wear yet.

I've had this Sony stereo receiver for a few days now and it has surprised me in a very good way with performance for the price. I'm comparing this receiver to a Yamaha receiver that costs more than three times as much and the Sony sounds as good, if not better than the Yamaha unit, and both sound very good to my ears (paired with Q-Acoustics speakers). For listening to music in 2022, this receiver has just the features you need: phono input for vinyl enthusiasts (phono inputs have all but disappeared from stereo gear), bluetooth for streaming from phones, tablets and PCs, and above all, great sound quality.

I was wondering if these were really going to be a good speaker as I upgraded the master bedroom to an actual stereo receiver and needed a speaker to support it. These Sony's fit just right as quality sound but not too big for the case their in. The price was right being on sale. Thanks B&H !

This unit is exactly what I was looking for in a stereo receiver. The first thing I was looking for is quality. So far this thing works like a champ and feels well built by the weight of it. I do not need something that has all the whistles and bells. Although it has some extra features that I probably won't use it allowed me to connect to older audio equipment without any trouble. I wanted a basic unit to play music on through the radio and play cds. The design is simple to use and very intuitive. If there is one thing I would add to this unit would be having AM radio available. It's not a deal breaker for me but would be nice if it were there. The antenna could be a little more robust as well.

I decided to go across the board and get a new stereo system. Got a Sony STR-DH190 receiver, 2 Sony SSCS5 speakers, 2 SSCS3 floor standing speakers, and a Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB turn table. Wow, great quality sound and definition from FM, Phono, and audio input from TV. A lot of quality that will not break the bank. Instrument solos come thru bright and crisp. Bass well defined without being overpowering. Really brings out the quality that underlies old 70's LP's. Just a great setup. I link in my Apple Laptop and iPhone via Bluetooth to the Sony receiver. Though I have a preference for analog LP's, the digital via bluetooth is fantastic also. Highly recommend. A solid investment.
