Google Fit Is Not Tracking My Steps

It steps up, what more can I say

BlackRapid steps have served me well over the years. I've never had one fail. My only gripe is cost.

So nice to be back in the saddle. My NEX F-3 died and this replacement steps up from the previous generator. Great options live within with added extras to help guide you while in operation. No need to refer to an digital or paper manual. Certainly a great camera for beginners.

My Nikon SLR was mounted on a fixed-head tripod, and adjusting up and down, left and right took extra steps, of course. But the micro fluid head eliminated those steps when timing was crucial. I'm talking about split seconds. It works for me now.

Upgrading from a 2020 MacBook Pro it saves me a lot of steps. My studio is attached to the garage and the Mac Studio desktop I use for processing is on the second floor of the house. Running back and forth for reshoots was wearing on my bones. Now I can process the focus stacks on the spot and reshoot as need.

The version 2 is a huge step forward. Can fit the locked bare bulb with the two steps removed. Excellent!

The app provided all the necessary info and steps for installation.

I have used the unit once for a gravel road bike race to test it out and the tracking worked very well. My daughter was able to follow my progress, even noting when I stopped along the way. I will continue testing but so far my family is happy I have it for my more isolated location adventures.

My main reason for purchasing the camera was for the smart tracking that is offered directly from the camera and not needing an NVR/DVR. Initially, I setup the smart tracking via smart events and was having a ton of issues where the camera would zoom in too far or not track the subject at all. After speaking with B&H Photo support they actually got me in touch with Hikvision support over the phone the same day and they deemed the camera had a bad chip inside that was not allowing the tracking software to work correctly. B&H Photo replaced the camera with a new one and just wow.. The tracking is spot on and perfectly tracks now. I can't be happier. What I'm even more impressed with though is the support that was provided by B&H and Hikvision even though I'm just a normal consumer and not a large customer. Thanks again!

I mainly got this because I roam remote areas alone, sometimes without a cell signal. I like its tracking ability, although I have a tracking app also on my phone. My friends can view my whereabouts on either MapShare or the tracking app, which I like. I use my phone as a topo mapping device, with downloaded maps so phone signal doesn't matter. I carry the little Mini-2 everywhere. I am still on a learning curve using the Explore app, but getting better.
