Gopro Hero 11 Media Mod

I have the Media Mod with Hero 11, that I transferred from my Hero 9.  I am really liking the Wind settings. That has mostly addressed issues in environments when there is gusty wind where the Rode VideoMicro was struggling. Whatever high-pass circuitry is in the GoPro, along with this mic and 'dead cat', produces a pretty respectable result.

Love the GoPro Media Mod. It works great with my Hero 10 and improves sound tremendously. Love the ease of the access ports on the back for easy charging and ability to add my own external mic without having to use a bulky case for the mic adapter.

I feel that GoPro should have included this Longer Thumbscrew with the GoPro Hero 9/10 media Mod but it's not, so I'm REALLY happy that FotodioX stepped up to the plate and hit a Grandslam with this Long Thumbscrew that I feel is a must-have for those of us using the media mod.

After extensive research, I purchased the GoPro hero 9 Black, the Media Mod and Light Mod. The whole purchase has changed the pre and post production aspect of my business for the better. By decreasing the amount of my steps taken to produce digital content, it has made my production life simpler. Thank you for that. The light mod is an awesome accessory for the GPH9Black.

I bought this for my YouTube channel and it works perfectly with the GoPro hero 8(you need the GoPro media mod). Great sound quality and super easy set up.

If you want to use a third party mic with a Hero 9, you need the Media Mod for Hero 9. This adapter does not work with the Hero 9 as of this moment, unless you have the Media Mod, which means that you don't need to buy this, because the Media Mod already has a 3.5mm port for your external microphones. I received a message from GoPro support by email, where they clearly said that this adapter requires the media mod. Which is contradicting to the purpose of the media mod. If you have the media mod, you don't need this adapter.

At first I tried out the Media Mod for my Hero 8 Black, but I was not impressed with having to remove it from the mod every time, to change the battery. I then ordered the GoPro Mic adapter. Works perfect, and with the SmallRig cage changing batteries is fast and easy. Highly recommend.

I got this for my New GoPro Hero 9, I plug it into the MOD and it works perfect!

This is a great device for capturing better audio with the Hero 9. Not only is the mic on the media mod better for capturing your voice, but it also adds a mic port so you can plug in an external mic.

I have used the Media Mod for both my Hero 8 and Hero 9 cameras now for a couple of years I had a bad crash on my motorcycle and damaged my Mod for my Hero 9 and cracked the case. I have replaced and am back in action. They work perfectly for what I need to add an external mic and power source.
