Gopro Red Lens Filter

I have a LeicaQ2 and I use this lens on any outdoor shooting. The red filter provides a great tint overall.

My first and still only PL mount lens is the Red 17mm-50mm T2.9. At this point I only have one 4x5.65 filter so far, so since this lens takes 67mm round filters, my quick, light, cheap solution is to forego 4x5.65 and just use circular filters. I keep this on generally all the time to protect my lens. The price is amazingly good for a multicoat filter.

Everything about this filter is first class. I know it is branded as a "basic" filter but honestly this is the filter brand all black and white contrast filters are measured by. And I know what most people are thinking. Why can't I just use software to get the same effective sky or other effect using a digital filter. You can, but a digital filter won't ever remove the UV haze or sharpen a lens by removing the blue content out of the lens. Honestly, the only time I would ever need to use a digital filter instead is for a creative option. I can shoot one frame with and one frame without if I need that option for creativity. I have plans to buy the red and deep red as well. Along with the hollywood black magic 1/4 and 1/2 filters. Schneider and their B+W brand is excellent beyond expectations. Top German filter quality. I shoot 35mm black and white and color film, and the 35mm f/2 lens is my standard lens. So this filter comes on and off my 35mm lens whenever I change film stocks. The filter frame is wide, with knurling, so the filter is easy to hold onto, and the brass threads give a positive click when they line up with the lead in on the lens threads. This makes the filter easy to install, even while the camera is around your neck. Then there is contrast, the contrast on Tri-X 400 is what I would expect from a filter described as a Wratten #8. I will be getting the orange and red, maybe even the dark red as well for my to trip to Albuquerque/Los Alamos NM, for both my 35mm and my 135mm lenses.

I enjoy it as gopro like with options of various lens.

solid quality, no color cast. I have another no-name ND filter that has a strong red cast, this one has none.

Remember you need a red filter to use this. It does give good results with good grain and good blacks.
