I am using this mic with a Samsung Galaxy S8 using the samsung Voice Recorder App. It works beautifully. There is no echo and no popping. Great buy! 5 |

You won't have to fumble around with your phone while driving anymore. Not just for GPS app, also functional for regular phone use. 5 |

Coming from a Nuvi 2460 this GPS does so much more. It's like night and day. There are a couple of things that confuse me and at this point being I just bought it and used it for one out of state trip so far i'm not sure if it's a user issue or the way this unit is supposed to operate. I noticed a couple of the routes it directed me to go were out of the way compared to my cell phone app that I would normally use and the concerned me. The other thing I have yet to figure out is listening to music and getting the directions through my cars audio system. Usually I can have Spotify going and my cell phone GPS app will interrupt the music with directions when necessary and then the music will continue. So far I haven't had that happen. I thought it operates both like my cell phone app does. I thought I can pair the Garmin with my vehicle and not have to depend on a cell phone to do it. In any event I hope it's something that I haven't figured out yet because if it's the way it is supposed to operate it will lessen my likability somewhat. 5 |

As a previous owner of a Garmin in reach Explorer+, and more recently a Montana 750i, I am now the proud owner of a mini – 2 and I love it! The Explorer + worked ok to track my activities in the wild, but the keyboard was problematic, and the phone app interface was less than adequate. Two years ago, I purchased a Montana 750i. It’s great, it’s a tracker app, it’s a GPS, it does everything. The one thing I learned when using the Montana is - I do not need everything when I’m out. It’s heavy. I Don’t need a separate camera. My phone and my separate GPS on both my mountain bike and motorcycle take care of my GPS needs. All I really need is a good tracker that can get me whether if I need it. The purchase of the mini-2 and then just learning about the Garmin messenger, phone app, make the combination of the two exactly what I need. And the mini, too, I can wear on my body if I get separated from my two wheelers. The battery lasts a very long time, in the messenger program on my phone does everything I needed to do so I do not really even need to touch the mini-2. And, the mini- 2 costs half as much as the Montana 750i and about the same as the explorer+. This may be the last in-reach device I buy, unless you can put it in a really nice watch with long battery life and easy recharge capability. I’ll be buying that if you can accomplish that Mr. Garmin. Thanks again! 5 |

Good camera, lots of options to customize it to your use pattern. The case from this kit barely fits the camera, especially tight fit when you carry an extra battery. Wifi connection to iPhone app works great. Although the absence of GPS in the camera means you have to remember to turn on GPS logging on your phone app before using the camera, which drains your phone battery a lot more. No Mac wifi syncing app, so I have to go back to connecting the sd card to my MacBook. Don't sync all pictures to your phone if you plan to later import from the sdcard because some metadata (like lens info) doesn't transfer to the MacOS Photo.app through the iPhone syncing method. 5 |

I guess I should say it's way better than the phone app **on my phone**. My beloved 5d4 had the GPS built in and it was a feature that I found invaluable. It was great and functioned exactly like one would expect. To not have that same technology built into the R5 was a major letdown. However, the GP-E2 has fixed the problem that the phone/app created--that of very imprecise location data. Whether it was the phone or the app, I have no idea, and it doesn't matter. I figure that I don't need a GPS inside a building (where I might need the hot shoe for a flash), so having the E2 in the hot shoe is really not a problem. Battery usage is quoted as about 40 hours, and I've used the unit for 2 straight days, with no indication that the battery was weak. 5 |

I got it after a trip using my phone with gps app and it worked but comparatively this is hands down. For local spur of the moment phone is fine but for planned trip this garmin can't be beat oh except maybe a higher featured one. Thank you for fine product and reasonable price. 5 |
