Gps Tracking App For Vehicles

I have been wanting a watch with gps tracking because I’m getting into hiking. I enjoy the features of the connect app and the Garmin Instinct. 5 |

Good features and portable to take in vehicles without GPS. Better than phone GPS, especially for long trips. Lifetime map updates is a plus. Two recommendations: 1...Get a micro SD card that it can support (max 32 GB) so maps have room to expand into for storage. 2...Set a calendar reminder for connecting your device to your computer occasionally for map and other updates with Garmin Express software (I have mine set to remind every 3 months) 5 |

I have purchased a Garmin GPS for my vehicles for several years and have been very happy with their operation and accuracy. I am not that smart when it comes to setting up an electronic device. However, with my Garmin Drive Smart 66 I followed the instructions and plugged it into my computer. After the download I was ready to go. I believe & trust my Garmin GPS's. ve 5 |

The LNZ44P12B is an impressive camera. Take note of the size; if you are looking for a small discreet camera, this one is not for you. The picture quality is fantastic. I can capture license plates of PARKED vehicles from ~250' away, day or night (I have to play with the camera's Iris settings to be able to read plates at night). Capturing clear images of plates on moving vehicles is hit or miss. Depends on speed of vehicle, time of day (direction of lighting) etc. I have not been able to capture plates on moving vehicles at night. The only negative thing I have to say about the camera is the audible hum of the motor when the camera is panning and tilting. We have the camera mounted outside of our bedroom window, and it is loud enough to bother someone trying to sleep. In terms of enhancements, quieting the motor would be great, but it would be pretty cool if it was capable of tracking movement. It goes without saying that the key benefit of a PTZ camera is the ability select the exact frame you would like to capture that you can't necessarily get with a fixed frame camera; a tracking feature that zooms in to get a good image of someone's face would be really awesome. 5 |

This device has worked great so far the gps was dead on , and the tracking was too. It is perfect for my wife as she can see my exact location, mine is set to every two hours it sends her my location. The texting is great too the last trip my side x side broke down probably 15 miles from cell service. I was able to message her via the inreach and it saved a long walk . Messages between us also show my location. It’s definitely a game changer when out solo for multiple days to long hunting trips with zero cellphone signal .. 5 |

since my phone is a 2023 motorola and can't run the app... which was a pain for activating the camera... I had to purchase this unit to supply gps to the X3. It works good. lets you control the camera, and shows status.. seems to work okay.. I noticed some of my gps mappings were slightly off, but i guess its just a thing. The only wonky thing with this remote is it 'awakening the camera'.. someone it is quick, sometimes it takes long.. and sometimes i simply just turn it on manually even with it on top of my head. The straps are nice, fits nice around the handlebar. sometimes i've noticed pushing the putting to take a picture, doesn't always take a picture.. These could be novice things, i'm sure things will get smoother. enjoying the experience.. just wish the camera itself didn't require the app for certain things. While I have figured out how to manually update the firmware of the x3, i have not figured out how to do so with the remote control, without the app. 5 |

You won't have to fumble around with your phone while driving anymore. Not just for GPS app, also functional for regular phone use. 5 |

Coming from a Nuvi 2460 this GPS does so much more. It's like night and day. There are a couple of things that confuse me and at this point being I just bought it and used it for one out of state trip so far i'm not sure if it's a user issue or the way this unit is supposed to operate. I noticed a couple of the routes it directed me to go were out of the way compared to my cell phone app that I would normally use and the concerned me. The other thing I have yet to figure out is listening to music and getting the directions through my cars audio system. Usually I can have Spotify going and my cell phone GPS app will interrupt the music with directions when necessary and then the music will continue. So far I haven't had that happen. I thought it operates both like my cell phone app does. I thought I can pair the Garmin with my vehicle and not have to depend on a cell phone to do it. In any event I hope it's something that I haven't figured out yet because if it's the way it is supposed to operate it will lessen my likability somewhat. 5 |

As a previous owner of a Garmin in reach Explorer+, and more recently a Montana 750i, I am now the proud owner of a mini – 2 and I love it! The Explorer + worked ok to track my activities in the wild, but the keyboard was problematic, and the phone app interface was less than adequate. Two years ago, I purchased a Montana 750i. It’s great, it’s a tracker app, it’s a GPS, it does everything. The one thing I learned when using the Montana is - I do not need everything when I’m out. It’s heavy. I Don’t need a separate camera. My phone and my separate GPS on both my mountain bike and motorcycle take care of my GPS needs. All I really need is a good tracker that can get me whether if I need it. The purchase of the mini-2 and then just learning about the Garmin messenger, phone app, make the combination of the two exactly what I need. And the mini, too, I can wear on my body if I get separated from my two wheelers. The battery lasts a very long time, in the messenger program on my phone does everything I needed to do so I do not really even need to touch the mini-2. And, the mini- 2 costs half as much as the Montana 750i and about the same as the explorer+. This may be the last in-reach device I buy, unless you can put it in a really nice watch with long battery life and easy recharge capability. I’ll be buying that if you can accomplish that Mr. Garmin. Thanks again! 5 |

Good camera, lots of options to customize it to your use pattern. The case from this kit barely fits the camera, especially tight fit when you carry an extra battery. Wifi connection to iPhone app works great. Although the absence of GPS in the camera means you have to remember to turn on GPS logging on your phone app before using the camera, which drains your phone battery a lot more. No Mac wifi syncing app, so I have to go back to connecting the sd card to my MacBook. Don't sync all pictures to your phone if you plan to later import from the sdcard because some metadata (like lens info) doesn't transfer to the MacOS Photo.app through the iPhone syncing method. 5 |
