The Ricoh GR III Digital Camera is a whole lot of fun. Easy to carry around on trips or just on a walk. Very sharp and great color. It is in my opinion when it comes to small cameras for street, cityscape, portraits, macro or landscape, the cat's meow.

first of all i am just an amateur. Ive been using the fujifilm x 100f but since having the ricoh gr iii in my hands i am definitely taking more pictures than ever. Compared with the ricoh gr iii i think this camera is even better and maybe easier to use. The resolution looks even better. I think this camera might work as a portrait camera and i am very happy with it. If a new ricoh gr Iv comes out i think i would have it as well.

I truly like this camera. I already own a GR III, but the 40mm lens on this model much better fits my shooting style. The APS-C sensor size is not a problem, as the resolution works just fine for what I do: streets, people, and buildings. I typically make smallish prints, letter size or 11x14 max, and I can see no great difference between the Ricoh results and those from my Leica SL2, believe it or not. (And my vision is just fine. :-) It's a great travel camera. I've already done two long trips with it. Five stars!

Great little camera. Before buying it I rented the GR III, the GR III x, and a previous iteration of the Fuji x100. Way more pocketable than the Fuji. Super sharp lens. The 28 mm lens (full frame equivalent), of course, offers a wide POV, but it's also surprisingly good for portraits. Snap focus option is great for street photography without having to first lock on a focus point.

You can read about the GR III elsewhere, I'll just say it's surpassing my expectations & I had high hopes. Ibis & snap focus are wonderful & the menu system is great, lots of options to keep the camera quiet & blacked-out (can turn off the display, auto-review, focus light, etc). Back wheel on my sample bought DEC 2019 is solid as a rock. One minor quip w/this kit: the RG case is too long for the camera. I have the GV-2 viewfinder, and I can put that in the bottom of the case & the camera still fits easily. I can allllmost get the charger and the camera in the case, but nope. I was hoping for a more form fitting case.

This lens has to be good. It doubles the weight (and then some) or your camera. Makes it really tough to fit in your pocket unless you wear Genie pants, and the adapter is ho hum. So the pictures need to be good really good. They are really good. The focus, metering, and functionality of the camera are still perfect with this lens. I couldn't help popping it on immediately and grabbing a picture down by the tracks. Everything was perfect. The perspective provided by the lens opens up another layer of creativity for the user. This is definitely a worthwhile addition to your GR III. If I have a complaint about anything, its the adapter (Model GA-1). The adapter, not this lens, doesn't live up to the quality build of the GR III or this GW-4 conversion lens. The adapter is a required component if you want to actually be able to attach the GW-4 to your GR III.

I bought the Ricoh GR iii to have a decent, small street and travel camera. I'm getting too old to carry around a heavy full-framer. The RIcoh takes excellent pictures and is reasonably easy to use, though you have to practice its different modes to get a feel for it. It's major fault for me is that on a sunny day, with sunglasses, the screen is very hard to see, even with the display pumped up to its brightest level. Nonetheless, with the 28mm lens and the APSC sensor, you'll get your picture most of the time with a little cropping. On a car trip I still plan to use my full frame Nikon Z6, but for most travel or just wandering around, the GR iii can't be beat.

Fits my Ricoh GR iii easily and separates them so that there can be no accidental short.

No more looking around at other cameras... going to commit to the GR III. Going to be faithful. No more rubbernecking when you got a beautiful lens and sensor combo. 28mm is gorgeous. Best for street, but I use for landscape. I tuck this camera next to me at night and make sure it has enough pillow so that it gets good rest for next day shots. Oh, but wait... there's the GR IIIx coming out... maybe I want to look into that. lol
