Graphic Gear 500 Mechanical Pencils

Is very smooth and the pencils glides very quickly.

A must have for the 500 PF lens. Like all Pro Media Gear it is a excellent piece of gear. I’ve been shooting wildlife and birds hard with this on the lens and it works great. In the Arca Swiss tripod mount or as a handle when carried. This is the last one you will have to buy.

I'm graphic designer and photographer. I bought the Rocket Blower (medium) and i've been using not only on my photography gear but also on my work space, on things like my macbook pro to blow away any dust that appears. I really apreciate the product design, and recommend this for my friends.

Works well. Not too much to say other than if you want to spend extra $ cuz you are a gear junky and like mechanical connections and precision the alternative would be the Really Right Stuff chord clamping thingy. I am tempted by the RRS device, but this is a great step in the tethered capture world.

Very simple to sync. Just as good as other top rated pencils.

I purchased both the 10mm and 11mm Artisans and found the 11mm definitely sharper when comparing lettering at 400% on a calendar in a room shot, however at 4 inches the 10mm was amazing. Purely by accident while shooting tests with the 10mm with the Lumix S1r I focused the camera on a pad of paper I had written notes on in pencil. Along side of the pad were 8 or so new Dixon pencils with gold stamped lettering all sitting on a dining room table cluttered with computers etc. At f8 with the lens so close the background dropped beautifully, but what astounded me was the detail of the lead pencil writing on the paper the the gold leaf stamping on the pencils. Photo had Color, contrast and even a bit of micro detail in the paper texture and writing. Based on this and other tests, this is a great lens for very closeup experimental work. Colors are accurate and vibrant. Lens is seemingly well corrected for this type of work with Capture one correcting purple fringes. For room shots and sharpness stick with 11mm unless you need the extra angle.
