Great improvement over my standard SM57 on guitar amps.

Great for drum overheads and guitar amps. I'd highly recommend them if you are looking to get into ribbon microphones.

Great mic with great sound for the price. I have 6 of them now. I use them as overheads for drums, guitar amps, and also as choir mics. I only had to perform a couple of EQ curves. Understand it's not just the mic that needs to sound good. The preamp, mixing console, amps, speaker system and room acoustics all play a role in the overall sound. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

I have ten of these permanently living on guitar amps at the studio. Perfect.

If you don't already know about the 57, you are a serious novice. It's indestructible and sounds great on tons of things - I've used 57's for guitar amps, drums, vocals, and everything else. I had to get a second one because I want to use one on a guitar cab and another on a snare drum at the same time. I've used and abused the heck out of my old one, which is still going strong after about 8 years. The 57 is ideally for close micing loud sources, but can be used for anything if it sounds good to you.

I mainly bought this for mic'ing guitar cabinets and combo amps. It does a great job! Very warm and punchy, and not at all harsh or thin like some condensers can be on guitar amps. I have used it on sax as well and was very happy. I have not used a lot of other ribbons, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but for the money, I think this mic is worth every penny.

Great for mics on kick, snare, guitar amps, ac guitar , etc. Really built well. Not going to break or slip like some other stands.

Liked the sound. Wanted the Marshall sound like guitar amps. Very nice sound.

I use the e609 for recording guitar amps and in isolation cabinets. An excellent choice.
