This is a great external recorder/monitor! I can now record in pro res and compared to the sony xavcs recording the pro res by far is superior and there is a clear difference It helps remove excess heat from the camera body when recording externally. The interface is a little difficult to navigate with swiping and such, but other than that great build quality and product for the price. Finally it allows me to be no longer limited on 30 minute recordings. I highly recommend this product especially since 4k will not be standard for a few more years. 5 |

I switched to Apple from PC about 4 years ago. My previous MacBook Pro was more powerful than any of my pc desktops before. So when Apple announced the release of their newest iMac Pro series with 8, 10, 14 and 18 core options, I was saving up my coins to get this monster computer. I chose the 10 core model because it actually has the fastest turbo boost processor speed. Since I use this for my home project recording studio, I have more than enough speed to run all of my extra programs with my Pro Tools Digital Audio Workstation. Everything is so fast and recording latency glitches seem to be a thing of the past. I’m sure businesses that do 3-D modeling and other cpu intensive projects might have need for the 14 and 18 core models but I couldn’t be happier with my iMac Pro. 5 |
