Grey Market Fujifilm Cameras

This is the 2nd Nikon D780 I have purchased. My first one I purchased from a competitor of B&H and didn't know at the time about the grey-market out there for cameras. I purchased the same camera but a USA Nikon D780 from B&H. My advice, be careful of grey-market cameras, lens and other photography equipment.

First off I want to thank B&H for not sending me a grey market lens like my previous purchase from another dealer... I love the lens, it is so sharp the model commented on it showing way too many flaws in her complexion! A good problem to have? This bolted to a Sony a7r3 is a mighty duo~

Great tether cable for Fujifilm cameras.

Bought this lens 7 years ago new for $150. grey market, just after Nikon introduced it (sorry, no longer possible.) Have taken over 20,000 shots with it mostly at 300 mm. Mostly birds or other wildlife. Mostly on a D7500. I am completely satisfied with it. Yes the lens mount is plastic but I don't carry my camera by the lens. I do use the pro level Nikon 300mm f4 VR PF too. This $2000 lens is a tad sharper, and a lot heavier, but doesn't zoom. One thing I do notice is a little dust inside the front element which cleaning can't reach. A long way from being a real problem. Be careful not to accidentally change the focal length when handling the lens; there's no way to lock it at 300mm. If the lens broke I would not hesitate to replace it even at the $396 list price.

This B&H D850 purchase replaced an (unknowingly to me) grey market D850 I bought over a year ago. Upgraded from a D500, which I absolutely loved (and still use as my backup). Thrilled with the FX format and the 45 mp sensor. As a wildlife conservation photographer, quick focus, manual overrides, 4K video, and superior image quality are paramount, especially for birds, raptors and other wildlife on the move. Paired with Nikkor 300mm f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, and 500pf 5.6 lenses, the D850 performance has exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend for photographers serious about their craft, especially for wildlife and sports photography.

I bought this as the open box grey market version, however I received the full USA version with Canon USA warranty card and 13-month accidental damage coverage! Perhaps a whse error? In any case it made a great value that much better. As far as the camera itself goes, so much has been said here and on professional review sites already that I don't know what else could possibly be added other than to say that it's a great camera, built like a brick and, coming from mirrorless, it feels like one too.

I finally have a Profoto flash I can use on-camera or off-camera on my Fujifilm cameras.
