Grip All In One Wireless Charger

2/3 of a stop is a good value for my needs. the full stop was too much and 1/3 not enough at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a wireless charger, it does everything you'd expect. The higher speed charging for iPhones is the key selling point for me, although there isn't a way to verify that functionality in iOS. Sturdy build quality with enough grip to keep the charger in place and the phone on the charger. The grip doesn't make anything feel glued in place, but you won't accidentally knock the device off without some force. There is a small white LED that is on when charging. With the phone hanging over the edge, it mostly covers the light but it was noticeable when I tried putting it on my nightstand. If there was one thing I'd change with most wireless chargers it would be these persistent LEDs. The ones I like best have lights that go off after a few seconds. Comes with the plug and cable. I've found the 4ft cable to be plenty long enough for my needs. I've had issues with other wireless chargers making noise while charging and being too distracting to use. I had no issue with this model. I can only hear anything if I put my ear almost on my phone. I tried it on my nightstand and did not notice it at all. Everything you'd need from a wireless charger. The Auray Wireless Charger with Case for Rode Wireless GO and Wireless GO II has been a nice little wireless charger. It's compact, well-made, and comes with a little case so it's easy to toss in a bag and not worry about anymore. For my purposes, I only use this with a wireless charger and it works great. The fewer cords I deal with the better. I saw some comments on the cords and I have a bunch of USB A to C cords so I haven't run into any issues. All-in-all this works great for what I need it to do. I needed an extra charger with the an battery for my battery grip...

Canon Battery Grip: Canon knows how to make a darn good grip. When I picked it up the box felt abnormally heavy compared to my other Canon grips. Much to my surprise, the weight was because they include the USB-C charger with the grip. This helps explain the cost of the grip being so high...but not sure why they dont offer this for sale without the USB-C charger for those looking to keep costs down. So the really awesome feature of this grip is that it will allow you to charge the batteries inside. There is a little dual LED indicator to show you which battery is charging as well. Batteries will not charge beyond 90% for whatever safety reason - this is clearly stated in teh EOS R owners manual. Overall this is a very nice grip and feels extremely solid. I was also happy to discover that it wasnt too much of a challenge to continue using the touch/drag autofocus on the screen. Its still within easy reach, however you need to be sure you have the screen area active.

If you are going to use the battery grip and will have extra batterys, buy the extra canon charger.
